Gee thumper, i'm sorry to hear that. I've heard Volcano has ....terrible customer service. There's a lot of "hardware snobbery" about Lavatube vs Provari on the VV end of things, but I've had a great experience with my lavatube now that I changed out the bad atty. It basically does the same thing as the provari. As the thread on the provari will tell you, the difference is basically customer service, a tighter build, made in the USA, and about $80 price when it is all said and done. From what I hear from you, it might be worth the extra $80 if you are looking to go variable volt eventually, but I'm happy with my lavatube so far and I'm glad I saved the money, my CC is already maxed out from juice, atomizers, batteries, the whole nine. We'll see if it lasts - I hope I don't have to deal with their customer service. If my LT breaks I'll probably get a provari, but I don't plan to be such a snob about it. I've also heard good things about VAMO though, it's PBusardo's rec, and you might want to look at that if you want a bigger VV device with longer battery life.
I started out on an Ego-C and I still love it, it's my go-to device for running around town because of it's great size and overall ease of use. I started out on stardust but found them leaking and melting (the atomizer starts to tilt in the tank) so I switched to type B atomizer and tips. Happy with that so far - the tanks are cheap and make it easy to switch around between flavors if you're like me and you have a deep rotation. I also ordered some drip atty's, but they are not really for me, as they flood with over three drops and as a chain vaper, three drops lasts me about 30 seconds before I have to re-drip. I dropped some coin and got 4 vivi novas for my main flavors.
That's my experience so far. Hope this helps, most of these vets have sunk thousands into every single different device and atomizer, and I am not about that kind of outlay for my smoking habit...
