Hello everyone. I would just like to say that I am brand new to the whole world of vaping. Currently in Iraq and smoker of 13 years. Yeah, I know that I am still pretty young. Got started at a young age like most people do.
Well, the prices of cigarettes started going up over here and they are completely expensive and an economical disaster for the amount that I was smoking(1-2 packs a day). A friend of mine randomly pulls out a large device which he had told me was an e-cig. Its a larger model, a 901 I think, and told me that I should try it out. I did, and it was pretty good. A little large for my taste, but good.

After a few hours of reading and browsing online I decided on the model that I wanted to try out. I ended up going with the Modern Vapor Sidesho. With nothing else to really compare it to, I really liked it. Using it already, I have been analog free for two days. However, a few days after ordering it and being the impulse shopper that I can be I also bought the Halo G6.

The G6 is also a great model, being that having owned the Sidesho for two days I really don't have any judging basis. I guess the moral of this is maybe I should have shopped around more and made better judegement, but then again I also see it as having two good products and having my primary and backup. Hopefully I can keep off of the analogs and possibly get my mom on the band wagon!!!

Sorry for the winded tangent!!!

Welcome, nkr501, to the ECF and the wonderful world of vaping! I haven't had any experience with the Halo G6, so I couldn't be of any help on opinion, but what I have seen on the interwebs is that the G6 is roughly a Volt/Bloog e-cig, and from that I can tell you that it's pretty damn nice.

I haven't seen a single negative review on the device, so I would say you did good.

Congrats on your two days off the analogs. Keep it up!

Congratulations on your decision to vape! :) I've never tried the G6, either. But based on Nokosa's reply, you can buy cartomizers from the Bloog and Smokeless Image (Volt) sites to use on your G6, if you want to try out new flavors.

Negative. That's why I said it was roughly a Volt/Bloog. The biggest difference is that the G6 uses cartos with KR808 threads with different machining. Halo sells different flavor cartos, as well as blank ones, at a fair price, made for the G6.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Like I said, I like both prducts but I am leaning more towards the G6. Especially with the Malibu Menthol cartos that I got with them. Oh yeah, Nokosa. I did in fact order 2 packs of blank cartos for the G6 as well. Don't know how long they will last, but figured I it was enough to start with to gauge it out for now.

You can. :) I just screwed on a Bloog cartomizer onto my Volt and it works perfectly.

Welcome and glad you like vaping! Most smokers do. Ecigs really hit the spot.

I did pretty much the same thing as you but it took me 3 weeks. I started on M402 and M401 (Sidesho is a modified version of those - I believe greedily modified in such a way that you may not be able to use any real M40x parts) and it's a super-mini with with very annoying tiny cartridges but nice flavor. I cut blue foam stuffing for one cart (strictlyejuice.com has cheap small pieces for 510 - under $1 for 10, and you can cut those down). That will give a cart some semi-permanent stuffing that can be rinsed and pressed dry. It got me off cigs but within 3 weeks I was looking for something slim but better and bought both Vapor4Life (KR808D-1, same model as Halocigs G6 but the Vapor4Life is more like the original manufacturer model whereas G6, Bloog and SmokelessImage Volt did not exist then and are a new style). I also bought the other popular slim mini Joye 510. In slim minis, KR8 is the most popular 2-piece and 510 is the most popular 3-piece though most use it as a 2-piece with blank cartomizers like Boge 3ohm.

I recommend manual batteries (harder to damage or kill with juice leaks, easier to get a good hit, won't turn on accidentally from wind or vibration). I am still using the KR8 and 510, both with cartomizers and using a standard resistance atomizer and drip tip on a manual battery to test juices and vape some that are thicker than I'll put in cartos. About 6 months in I added a couple of 3.7v fat battery and mod boxes to my collection (those can optionally use the hotter LR cartomizers and atomizers).
