Hey everyone,

i just wanted to say hello to everyone and introduce myself. My name is Ben and i live near Rochester, NY. I am brand new to vaping and just made my first purchase. Back in 2009 i tried my first e cig, it was a cheap model and i was unimpressed so i assumed they were all the same and went back to analogs. Since then i have gone to using camel snus, nicotine lozenges and now analogs again. I decided to look into ecigs again and started researching different products. I ended up buying two 1000mah joye ego twists, two kanger t3s', a charger, a case, spare 1.8 ohm atomizers and a variety of juices. I lurked this forum while i was researching what to start with and now that ive ordered i figured i would join. Thank you to everyone for providing such awesome advice to beginners.

Hi Ben, and welcome!

Looks like you got some benefit from your research here, pretty decent starter setup - one that could well serve your needs for some time. One suggestion - pick up another charger. They can fail, and if it does, it will be on a friday night of a holiday weekend, so the replacement one won't even ship until the following tuesday :p

I second the good choice post. That kit will provide some serious mileage and great vapes. I dig kanger bcc tanks. I love my evods and will be getting a pro-tank shortly once FT gets them back in stock. You can get a ton of mileage out of heads too if you clean/dry burn as soon as soon as something seems off.

Nice kit. Should work great for you. Do watch the 1.8 ohm heads as you can drive them awful hot and even burn juices and the coils. By the most common chart I see (Power Chart), with 1.8 ohm heads, 4 volts and higher can get risky. Be sure to start at the low end and move up carefully.

(I stick with 2.4 ohm heads with my Twists. That way, I don't have to pay that much attention to the exact voltage setting. And the charts aren't necessarily "absolutes" but low resistance carries some risk of frying your coil heads and juices. So start at the low end and adjust up.)

Thank you for the heads up, i had no idea i could over power the atomizer. That chart will help alot, i appreciate it!

Hi Ben and welcome! I agree with what everyone's said ^^^ so far, and strongly second the recommendation to get yourself a backup charger.

I'll stick my neck out here and say there's no such thing as the "perfect juice." After my taste buds settled down from stopping smoking, I found that my sense of taste changed often; the juice that hit the sweet spot in the morning sometimes tastes bleh at night, and vice versa. So I keep 2 or 3 juices loaded and rotate them during the day. That being said, the important thing, above all, is never to run out of juice!

You're off to a great start on your vaping adventure. Welcome to the team!

Hey Ben,I heard they opened up a vape store on Ridge Road in Webster.Have you checked it out yet? Not sure of the address I think someone may have it in the Upstate Vapors forum.

Wow, i honostly am so new at this i didnt even know they existed! Im stoping there tonight on my way home, ill let you know how it is. Thanks for letting me know. If i knew they were there i would have given them my business instead of ordering online. They are literally in walking distance to my house.

Update: I just got back from "Village Vape and Smoke" in webster and i am so glad i went. The guys there were awesome and i must have tried at least 30 flavors. I walked out with my favorites plus another charger. The guys were super patient with all my questions and took the time to explain everything to me. I highly recommend you check them out. They have a great selection of ejuice and carry all the genuine name brands and accessories.
