...With every other method I tried, I felt some sense of depravation or being denied something, while with e-cigs I feel as if I'm in control.

100% agree w/ you on that Carolina!

Being in total control without feeling deprived or denied are imo the biggest reasons why quitting is so effortless and natural...automatic almost...as long as you stay with it. That's all you really need to do...just keep vaping!

Hey Dog, welcome to ecf!

I am so encouraged by everyone's feedback! I am really hoping this will be my golden ticket. Like all of you, I've tried everything. When I quit for two years I still wanted one here and there but was able to ignore it. Throw a few beers into the mix....I'd cave. Not that I'm a big drinker but heck I didn't want to have to give that up too! I was like a ...... addict hunting down a smoke if I had a few beers! I am hoping that the ecig will eliminate that issue with me. I told my husband that if I tried to quit again I would have to completely avoid alcohol. Analogs completely control your life and I'm tired of coughing and having my clothes and hair stink!

My e-cig order is on its way! So excited but a little concerned that I only purchased 11mg. of the liquid...might not be strong enough. I smoke about a 1/2 pack a day normally...Winston Lights. Add alcohol and it's a pack....easy.
