I have been smoking and chewing for many years.. Tried quitting many times.. Bought a VUSE and right then I knew vaping was the answer... Really like them especially the taste and have zero urges to go back. Its been about two weeks. I hate the fact that that I go through these damn cartridges so often and sick of having to charge the thing all the time.. Trying to figure out what will be the next step. The VUSE has only 4.8% nicotine. How many ml in each cartidge? Im guessing about 1? I go through two a day. I really just want something that comes close to the taste and I really don't have to jack with all the time.. From looking at others opinion of the VUSE it sounds like I am pretty easy to please.. What do you all suggest?

first buy some juice and refill the cartridges yourself. You can get cheap juice from mtbakervapor.com. That will save you a lot of money. you should experiment with different flavors and nicotine strengths. You will eventually want to upgrade to a better ecig, so keep reading the posts and start gathering info. If you have any questions someone will answer so just ask.

Welcome to the forum! Indeed, read first, then buy. There are all kinds of options available to you. I know, I've bought many of them :) I probably would have saved a lot of money if I read first then bought but I'm a gadget type of guy anyway. Still making out over the money I was spending on analogs though so it's all good.

Again, welcome! There are lots of helpful folks here, I think you'll like this place. I do!

Kind Regards,
Blackie

Vuse has taken a huge basing in the UK. Sure, it has 48mg liquid, but the suspicion would be that newbies would end up using 1-2 a day.

48mg/ml is very strong liquid, but I (for one) approve. These small ecigs do not produce great vapour and 48mg is far more effective than 18 or 24.

Somebody did actually work out how much nicotine was in one Vuse. I can't remember, but there was another one (sold by British American tobacco) that had 11.8mg (approx) juice used before running out.

But even 11.8mg is not the YIELD. The Yield is not 100% of the nicotine in the product.

You will have a tough decision to make.

I fill my ecigs for $1 a day and vape 2ml of 18mg (sometimes 12mg) liquid. My hardware (if I just used one or two devices) would be under $100

:)

You can refill the VUSE cartidge? How? I googled it did not find anything... Did not try real hard though, Ill try again..

pop off the plastic cap with the little air hole in it. you will see cotton on the inside with a small hole in the center. drip some juice into the cotton avoiding the center hole. drip slowly so you dont overfill, just untill the cotton is soaked. pop cap back on and conitnue vaping. you might want to wash out the old cartridges before refilling so it doesnt mix with the old juice. you can boil them in water...remove plastic cap first so it doesnt melt. then let the cartridge dry over night.

I'd say an EVOD VV batt' and a BCC tank - it sits on top nicely. Perhaps a second VV bat as well. I'm now an EVOD fan, and think them just nicer than eGo ones.

I'm still struggling to get the right juice. I use a 2.4% that I cut with 3.6%. I would suggest finding a B&M that will let you try lots of flavours - one with a coffee machine would be best ;)

I still like the tiny cig-a-likes for when outside, and am going to order some 300mAh mega 510s and some Boge cartos so I can refill with the tasty and nice liquid.

If it were me I would do a lot of research on different mods and batteries and rebuildable atomizers, vari volt, etc. When I got off analogs I was still chewing because it wasn't giving me the nic buzz that chew would. When I moved up into a bigger mod I got the throat hit, the vapor production, the nic buzz etc that bigger mods give. My silver bullet gave that to me and now I'm going to be getting a reo as soon as I scrub up the money. Remember in the ecig game, you can buy cheaper mods that will last maybe a year or you can pay extra initially for a very good mod that will last you years/forever. I've had my silver bullet for 3+ years and it still is awesome. I'm just looking for a bit extra which is why I'm going to the reo.

IMO it depends on how much you are looking to spend. I started with a eGo Twist and a EVOD tank. I've went through a bunch of tanks and right now I'm rotating 2 Kanger T3S tanks on 2 eGo twists and a iTaste v3. I would do your research before pulling the trigger on anything. Don't want to spend money on something that's either poor quality or don't fit your needs! I was a pack a day smoker and I haven't had a real cigarette in a month now, only vapor. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Same thing. Either is accepted. 48mg/ml or 4.8%. I know... it's weird.

From Totally Wicked...

However, It is important to note that current research shows nicotine uptake through vaping is not directly comparable with nicotine uptake through smoking. Importantly, cigarettes contain significantly more nicotine per cigarette than cigarette manufacturers are required to label. Cigarettes actually contain at least 10 times more nicotine per cigarette than labelled. This is due to the labelling on cigarettes reflecting the average metabolised nicotine per cigarette (referred to as the ‘yield’) NOT the actual nicotine content which is the current method of denoting e-liquid nicotine content. It is interesting to note that the body’s ability to extract nicotine from tobacco smoke (the metabolised nicotine) is significantly more efficient than extracting nicotine from electronic cigarette vapour. Importantly therefore do not be misled by the apparent comparisons between conventional cigarette and e-liquid nicotine content. Our experience tells us that a typical “20 a day” smoker will find 18mg/ml a suitable strength to start vaping. Heavy smokers sometimes find a much higher nicotine concentration is more satisfying. For occasional and light smokers 10mg/ml is a very good starting point.

What does this mean? I'm not aware of the ability to easily buy 48.. I was happy smoking way under a pack analog a day... tried blu.. enjoy and they were weak.. just trying to figure out if I will succeed with upgrading..

The delivery from a cig alike is a little different from a eCig. The vapor is heavier and hotter. I smoked 2+ PPD of full flavor coffin nails for over 35 years. I started at 24mg/ml and it was a perfect fit. I dropped the analogs and haven't even wanted one since. I started with an eGo VV2 and an EVOD tank. I still use them today. It is a good place to start because they don't cost a fortune and allows you to actually KNOW this will work for you before diving in head first. You can go spend a fortune if you like for your first setup but if you do find you like it that much, what will you buy after that? You have to leave a little wiggle room for upgrades later.....

I wasn't suggesting you step down on your nicotine level :)
The eGo is a slightly larger battery than you have and you can purchase different types of tanks that will hold more juice than your cart's, that's all I meant.
