Hello, all.
This is my second post and I thought I should start with some background introduction type stuff before my question.
My wife and I both quit cigarettes and went to vapeing last August when she was hospitalized for cardio-pulmonary issues. We started with vuse e-cigs. I soon learned how to reset the cartos for the vuse and refill them with my choice of juice. My wife stayed true to the vuse menthol. She liked the flavor and the style of the vuse. I moved on to a mark 10 due to a sales promo. Found out it was even easier to refill. I did this for several months. Finally about a month ago I got a pen style vape (Haus Mystic). Within a couple weeks I jumped to variable voltage. Now I have an Istick Power with a Tobeco Super Tank. The wife is still using the vuse.
Now my question. 2 actually.
Is there a juice out there that actually tastes like a Newport?
And is there a cigarette style vape that is truly refillable?
I'd like to get away from buyin vuse packs every couple of days . However these are what it would take to get my wife to switch. I've tried several types of menthol juice and they are all either majorly mentholated or candy tasting.
Thank you all. I've already learner a ton from this forum.

I don't know what Vuse do to stop folk refilling but whatever it is if fits the typical approach of tobacco firms to maximize profit. It's a shameful price but they have a specific market in mind. Then again, the big vaping brands still sell cig-a-likes effectively marked up to 4 times the real price; it's a money printing product range. That's how some brands still charge $<100 for barely $20 of goods.

WTA (whole tobacco alkaloid) liquids will taste as close to a cigarette as can be achieved with vapour, from what I understand.

It's doubtful you'll be able to get it pre-filled and is much more costly than regular liquids.

Most of us realize after a time, that it is just easier to find a non tobacco flavour we like than trying to match what we used to smoke. Personally I spent hundreds looking for a NO. 7 flavour. Ended up on vanilla custard after a long search and wasting all that money.

Also, choosing a device that fits a form factor you want will also lead to many performance compromises. Many of us put form over function in the beginning only to realize over time that we actually want something that satisfies our needs with minimal hassle. Deciding after all that function trumps form. Larger devices will do this better than small fiddly ones for most.

We have small devices called pod mods nowadays that perform "fairly" well. The eleaf iCare and iCare mini is one of these. They are refillable, small, automatic (no button to push) and reletively inexpensive. It may be worth a look.

I wish you both all success and pray your wife's condition does not worsen and she is successful on the switch from smoke to vape. Cheers.

I also chased a tobacco flavor that just does not exist, then like you switched to Vanilla custard. I vaped that day and night for about 6 months straight. I have now switched to unflavored exclusively. It has a lovely clean, just slightly sweet flavor, very moorish. To me unflavored is the closest flavor to tobacco, with the added bonus of the wick in my coils lasting forever and no coil gunking.

Holding the cigarette is a huge part of her addiction. Gotta keep the wife happy.
We understand, for sure :)
KR808 cigalikes were my thing. The first kit I bought was $89. I then replaced it with exactly the same hardware except not rebranded by a dubious rip-off company. That was under $30. One infamous US brand still charges getting on for $125. It was this type of business behaviour that got me hooked on forums; trying to re-route potential customers down the non-brand route and directly to the original Chinese manufacturers. Tobacco companies are ruthless & so are too many vaping ones as well.

The best was a uturn 1300 with a kanger T3D tank. She tried em. Didn't care for em.
Lol. The dual coil kangers ended my reviewing career. I was sent a variety of dual coils and refused to say they were good. I liked the evod and loved the T3 but sadly on normal batteries I couldn't rate the dual coil ones. Everyone likes different things I guess.

Welcome and glad you joined.
"Is there a juice out there that actually tastes like a Newport?" No, tobacco ash and vapor are two very different types of inhalants. Are there e liquid tastes that approximate Newport? Might want to try Googeling " newport flavored e liquid ".
