I've been debating getting a brass Fauxgotti top cap from Cap It All Vapes to go on my igo devices. I think this would look awesome on top of my brass Nemesis, as it will match the colors and will make it a flush device (the top cap turns the igo devices into 22mm devices). I'm worried there would be a problem with the brass reacting with my juice, though. I also can't find any info on whether it's regular brass, or Naval brass. This worries me especially, as I tend to drip quite a bit of juice in my igo devices since they have a bottom juice well, and when I tilt my mod to vape, the juice comes into contact with the inner walls of the top cap. What do you guys think? Will I not have any flavor problems with the reactive brass leaching into my juice as long as I clean it regularly, or should I just get the stainless steel top cap, and just deal with the fact that I'll have a 2-tone mod (this doesn't really bother me; I'd just rather it be all brass)?

CIA top caps are made with naval brass, which makes them lead free

"Naval" is just a name given to certain brass alloys that won't corrode easily in (sea) water. It doesn't really say anything about lead content. Some naval brasses contain lead. Others don't. "Lead-free brass" would be a safer bet.

I hate to be that guy. It just ticks me off how producers of "premium vaping gear" usually omit details about metal compositions and/or size measurements.

Just me, but I would think that if they make a brass top cap for a RBA that it would be safe to use?

Might be cynical of me... If manufacturers gave it some thought and forked up extra money for higher quality metals, they'd be sure to make mention of it.

Lead free brass is available, so hopefully that's what they've used. If you don't mind a golden hue, you could always do the brewer's trick of a five minute soak in two parts white vinegar to one part hydrogen peroxide. You'd need to do the mod also to match it up. Just google 'remove lead from brass' to see the old brewers trick.
