It's all about looks and upkeep. The brass looks awesome when polished (and pretty damn good when tarnished, IMO), but if you want to keep it shiny you need to work at it a bit. The SS will stay shiny, but isn't gold, so the mod can look a little too uniform.

You shouldn't need anything extra to use the Ody on the Stealth regardless of the material of the cap.

Are there any potential issues with the brass version due to its softness?

And you guys should see my SSGGTS/UFS2. It is BEAT up with scratches and scuffs. When I buy something as a piece of my EDC, I don't really concern myself with keeping it looking perfect. IMHO a little bit of wabi makes something personal.

Brass is softer, but you have to give it a solid whack to really damage it. If you're ok with scuffs it's not an issue. A scratch doesn't cause it to work any worse. That being said, if you're looking for hard wearing go with the SS.

The only potential issue if you plan on using the odysseus on a brass capped stealth is the connection, if the connection on the odysseus is the same as the iatty, and i believe it is, it could strip your brass 510 connector because it is stainless steel, unless your very careful brass and stainless steel don't play well together

This is the reason I asked this question. I thought I had seen mention of some caveat concerning the two. Thank you for making this point. It gives me something to think about.

To you know of any threads here where someone mentions this having happened to them? If so I would appreciate a link.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...t-iatty-wont-thread-into-stealth-ss-ggts.html is the best I found in a search. I personally like the look of the Brass Stealth slightly more. but to each their own.

Pretty sure I've seen a post or two about this. But I work in a machine shop and drill and tap holes all the time. In a fight between steel and brass, steel wins every time. But if you are careful threading it and don't mistreat it you should be fine. I would never use the brass as a hard use mod though. And having SS as a backup would mean you can still use it after the parts become impossible to find if you wear something out our cross thread it. Brass on steel always protects the part that is steel too. So if you do cross thread it you will only jack up 1 piece.

I like both, but they are both listed for $155 at CoV, only it appears the brass cap alone sells for $60 while the SS is selling for $90. I prefer the brass, but only the SS was available. Had I know at the time I would have just ordered the brass one as well.

The price is 94,5 euros for brass stealth and 99 euros for steel stealth Hrathor

Thanks for weighing in, Imeo. Can you expand on this further? I really do like the look of the brass more, especially when it patinas, however I plan on using this HARD!

Btw, thank you for building such brilliant, classy PV's. Leonardo DaVinci said that simplicity is the highest form of sophistication. I believe your products illustrate that perfectly.

The SS stealth has some new stuffs on it : ss button, ss end cap.... besides the ss top cap.

not sure for the brass stealth, I only bought the the top cap, but its still a beautiful piece.

I wished I had taken time to read the details before ordering the SS cap, the complete Stealth appears to be a much better total package for the money.
