Can someone breakdown resistances for me? and how they effect vapor production, throat hit, and flavor. I have a LR 306 atty and it hits amazing. I was wondering how a SR would do. I hope to be getting the vv twist batts soon and how all that would play into it, along with the vivi nova tank and the 3 resistance heads. This is about the only thing that really stumps me, so I figured I was in the right place to be taught something. Thanks in advance :)

Oh boy another ohm's law thread. :lol:

The lower resistance the hotter the coil gets at the same voltage. Be careful though with amps. The lower ohms and higher voltage the more amps you pull from the battery.

Hah I am sorry lol its been a while since I have had to think about resistances and amps and voltage, is there another thread for this so I don't have everybody reposting?

It's all good. There are threads around that talk about this. Feel free to continue the thread, it's no big deal.

    Here is a little tool to help clear the fog, it is a good thing to bookmark.
    Ohm's Law Calculator

    Basically we do one of two things to change the temperature that we are vaping at. We can change the voltage, or we can change the resistance. The result of doing either will change the amperage draw required from the battery, and the wattage being used by the coil in the atty/carto.
    Most of us that have been vaping for a while look at it sort of backward. We know the wattage that we want and then look for the most efficient way to produce that. This of course will change depending on what type of PV we happen to be using.

    And the net effect of higher wattage is more heat which can produce more vapor.
    There is no hard fast rule on what the correct wattage is for a specific juice or for the person vapng it.
    Some like warmer vapes, others like cooler vapes....some juices hit their sweet spot at higher wattages some at lower.

    That's the great thing about VV. You can dial in the best combination for your specific likes.

    www.
    very easy. just remember this. The more watts, the more vapor, the warmer the vapor, the more battery use.

    Now, knowing that figure out your watts with this formula

    v= volts
    r= coil resistance
    w= watts

    V * V /R= w

    so, if you are using 3.7V and a 1.7 carto

    3.7*3.7 / 1.7= 6.85 watts

    simple as that

    remember different juices do better with different watts. sweet and fruit juices taste better at lower watts (IMHO)
