Breathing Questions

I have not yet bought an e-cig yet. I have been searching trying to do some research on them...which to buy...where to buy yadda yadda yadda.....I think I have deceided on the Kr808 but haven't yet commited to the switch yet.

My main issue with getting off analogs is that it has caused me serious breathing issues. I have gotten to the point now where I cough up and insane amount of phlegm and have had to start using a nebulizer at least once a day. I am allergic to sodium and the nebulizer treatments use sodium this and that so I have been getting hive rashes from it.

My questions are....
1. Has anyone else that switched had such severe breathing issues before the switch? And is the problem getting better? or at least not getting worse?
2. From what I have seen it doesn't appear that there is any excess sodium involved with the e-cig or am I just missing it?

Thank you for any comment that may help me make this choice!

I don't think sodium is an issue, although I would talk to some of the suppliers about that. I do know I'm an asthmatic who has improved enough that I have been off my daily meds for about 6 days now. We'll see how it goes. It's still too early on the vaping and abstinence of meds to say for sure, but I'm pretty happy so far. I don't know that this is really much of a choice though. You only have 2. Keep smoking analogs with the breathing issues or stop. If you can't quit, obviously most of us here can't, then you need to look at all the alternatives.
Sorry if that sounds a little high and mighty, but I faced the same choice.

I've never really had asthma or really bad breathing problems but I've just stopped smoking analogs for 3 days now after getting my joye 510 in the mail and I too have been coughing up a lot of phlegm not so much of the breathing issues. But good news is that our lungs are on the road to recovery. I'm not sure if e-liquid contains sodium, but there are so many varieties that I'm sure you should be able to find one. Good luck to you.

I have COPD. Been vaping since November and haven't noticed much improvement in breathing capacity, but it doesn't seem to be getting any worse and most of my phlegm is gone (not coughing up gobs of stuff like I used to). Hope that helps.

I have atelectasis which is the partial collapse of one or both lungs. Mine is chronic from being in a semi-reclining position for over five years because of an accident. Since I've started vaping my doctor is hearing some air movement that wasn't there before. My PFT's are much better also. So far vaping has made some pretty good improvements to my health.

Wow Jules I am very happy to hear that! Every analog I smoke I wish I had the money to go buy mine right now! I can't wait to get mine and leave these analogs in the past. I am hating them more and more every moment of the day. I am really happy I found this site. I had been thinking about the switch since smokingeverywhere had their stand in the mall. I am def glad I chose not to buy theirs...it was outragously priced and I just couldn't see spending the money on it. After coming here and seeing that they have really horrid reviews I am glad I went with my gut to say no. Still I wish I had found this site sooner and started saving the money for one months ago. Oh well the past is in the past and no changing it now. Hopefully I'll be able to get one before the end of the month! Gonna try to get my fiancee to switch with me (which I am positive I can accomplish he's really open to it, I just hope he likes it as he is a hard one to get out of his ruts) lol

I was a smoker for over 35 years and have COPD and used two inhalers and had to take allergy medicine every single day.
I had a check up with my doctor one week after starting my JOYE 510. MY DOCTOR WAS THRILLED. YES, my breathing is much better. I have NOT had to use my inhalers and I have not had to take ANY allergy medicines yet and it has been 15 days. I was unable to use the PG base liquid only because of throat irritation so I simply switched to VG liquid. Keep in mind that your throat will get dry to drink extra fluids until you get used to the vaper. Good Luck.
