i smoked from age 14 to 25. I'm 25 now. started vaping in 08. been around 7 years on-and-off vaping. i still do get short of breath when vaping. especially in the mornings. something about lying vertically for long periods of time, maybe? or maybe, when asleep, our lungs stop taking in large amounts of air, which allows phlegm to coagulate in the airways? IDK! mornings do it, for me. As far as loss of breath from vaping- Yes, as I've said above, I have experienced this, in the mornings, and, i think it's normal. it's remnants of our smoking days. It's bound to go away, but it does take time. I remember that when I have not smoked in 5, 6, 7+ months, only vaping, the wheezing and the coughing, the phlegm, the shortness of breath, they all sort-of slip away without you really noticing it. But, it does take a while. Eventually you become so used-to your new breath abilities, you forget your inabilities ever existed. It can take a long time though... I have switched between smoking and vaping many times, and, in my experience, it takes a lot longer for my lungs to "heal" once i've switched to vaping again, than the much shorter amount of time it takes for my lungs to decrease capacity and begin coughing/hacking/producing phlegm/etc when i begin smoking again. IE: It takes 6-7mo to notice improvement, but as soon as I go back to smoking, it only takes a week or so before I begin noticing decreases in breath, phlegm, the whole works... But, there is hope. just keep on vaping on and you'll notice big improvements when looking back, in a year or so... Well, NOT noticing the hacking/shortness of breath is more like it... U won't notice the slow transformation at all, haha, but you'll see the difference eventually. Keep it up and enjoy your vape journey!

When I had my relapse, I started noticing the difference in my lungs within about 2 days -- more wheezing when I sleep (sometimes it would wake me!), more asthma in the morning, more and thicker crap to cough up. and it's interesting, the first time I quit and switched to vaping, I saw improvements in my breathing within a few weeks, but the 2nd time... not sure I ever did come all the way back, and it's been almost 17 months now. Of course, there is WTA involved now, and I think it must gunk up lungs as much as it does coils. I never saw any real gunk on my coils, till after i started using WTA.

I've researched this pretty extensively and anything you're putting into your lungs besides air is not a good idea. There was a guy I found on youtube who was saying he had to quit vaping because he couldn't keep up with the army training he used to do every day. I find that vaping doesn't bother me that much because I'm not training for anything, but to each their own.

Does anyone else have this with vaping.

I was a smoker for 43 years and have now moved to vaping. I initially brought Vapourlites but the liquid was so harsh I coughed more than when I smoked, but then I tried the Socialites Liquid which is mainly vegetable glycerin and is a much milder vape. I am finding now though that I seem to be more breathless than when I was smoking. When I was smoking and got bronchitis, I could hardly get upstairs without huffing and puffing, but that ended when I started vaping, however, now 53 days down the vaping route, the breathlessness has come back. My only issue with the vapes is that I seem to be puffing on it frequently during the day and having one or two puffs, then maybe 10 minutes later another one or two puffs until I eventually feel dizzy and wheezy. I'm only on 0.6mg nicotine which is the lowest before 0mg.

53 days is still quite short so you may be experiencing residual effects of smoking. You may have also done more damage to yourself from smoking than just Bronchitis. Have you had a chest xray?

Finally choose your liquids carefully. They are not all the same. Cheeper liquids can have some nasty crap in them.

Just FYI, Mt. Baker Vapor offers their juices in 80, 65, 50 and 20 PG blends. Respectably priced, too.
My wife bought me 8 flavors from Mount Baker for Christmas a couple years ago.
They have a born on date of 12/1/2013 and they are 80 PG/20 VG.

I still have them, and they are all still pretty much completely full.
I might be able to arrange to send them to you if you want?
:)
