So as the title suggest I went to Creat E Cig today in the Houston Galleria area to see what the place was all about. I also stopped at another shop up the street first, BC Smokeshop, and was extremely underwhelmed at the E-cig stuff but I can understand why it was this way.

So I went in and was kinda... Shocked? I didn't know what to expect since I'm new to the whole PV thing. We had just went to another shop up the street and they had an AMAZING slection of "Glassware" but the E-cig section was basically under the counter out of easy view and was extremely simple and generic. I bought some of the Elixir Liquids and was extremely surprised by the flavors but they were out of a lot of the flavors I wanted. This set a tone of uncertainty about the next stop on my list, Create E Cig.

We pulled up to the shop and the first thing struck me was.. "Is this an apple store?" due to the extremely modern layout, clean floor space and styling of the whole store. Bad thing? Well I hate Apple stores, but this place sold products I actually like so I'd say no, was is pretty damn cool. We were greeted cheerfully and warmly by the staff, whom I honestly can't recall a single name of but they were all great guys and more than willing to help.

The selection of flavors in stock was impressive to say the least, the cleanliness and selection just blew me away. The guy helping us was very up beat and was extremely helpful. He let us test about 10 flavors without a single bit of annoyance and seemed pleased to do so. We picked up some Fig, coconut cream pie, and sweet tartys because they were just damn good! They mixed them on the spot, we could see what they were doing and they even gave them extra flavor to suit my tastes. They also had a great selection of Mods, Ego batteries, tanks, cartos, etc. I ended up picking up two bottom coil tanks, EVODs I think they are, and spare coils along with some other odds and ends. Overall, EXTREMELY satisfied and will probably go here before ordering online just to suppoert the local-ish business. (Almost a 1.5 hour drive from where I live but totally worth it!

Service: 10/10
Selection: 8/10*
e-liquid flavors and quality: 10/10
Convenience/Knowledgeable staff: 10/10

* They did not have any Kanger T3s in stock and I really wanted to try these and they only had one Kanger ProTank in stock but it was defective due to a bad seal, they refused to sell it since they knew it would leak so kudos to them! The did however promise to call me when they got a new ProTank in stock and when they got new T3s in stock. Would have been a 9/10 for selection if the Kanger wasn't damaged but they only had one of the three items I specifically went looking for. It's a brick and mortar, sadly this does place limitations on stock and can cause some frustrations if you don't call ahead to see what they have in stock. Obviously this is somewhat my fault for going all that way without calling but I do this so that I get the "New customer off the street" experience.. The fact that they did not have everything I wanted in stock was completely negated by what they did offer, great service, selection of eliquids, and a hip, welcoming place to help get people off the nasty analogs.

The EVOD was also a knock off I think and the coils do not have the resistance listed on them and they didn't have the coils alone in stock, but they gave me the coils from the display units and tested them to be sure of the ohms so I'd know what I was getting. The units are great, good vape, no leaks and well made so I don't care who makes them.

I hope this helps someone!

Thanks for your post regarding this location..
Just wish I had joined ECF prior to my ill-fated sojourn to this store...
Was forced to place a negative comment on Yelp! regarding my experience ...

Let me preface that I am a 47 year old smoker with some knowledge of electronic cigarettes. I have been Vaping for a few years(off and on)...
I was super excited when I had heard of the company opening in Houston!
The delight quickly faded when I made my first purchase though.
The sales people seem overly eager(think car salesman mentality) to sell you and "upgraded" tank or accessory . A cute girl(who claimed to be a manager) with tattooed eyebrows and shaved side of hair assisted me with a new tank purchase. She was very eager to show me "the greatest tank ever(her words)". KangerTech Clear Atomizer Series.
I think I paid $45 for the tank alone as well as some juice.
She never told me about the "Fivestars" savings club, even though she signed me up for the email receipt.
Fast forward a week into vaping: My Protank started leaking uncontrollably. I switched back to my regular plastic unit I could get back to the store.
Upon my return, the same girl was there. To my surprise she mentioned that the Epoxy had been "compromised" from the glass part of the tank, and that this was a KNOWN ISSUE* with the product...! My first question was "why did you sell me this tank to begin with"? She simply shrugged her shoulders....
I had asked for an exchange towards a different tank and she told me it would be up to a manager to decide(first visit she said she was a manager)if an exchange would be in order... A tall Asian kid(wearing glasses) came up to the counter, inspected the tank, said nothing to me, and walked away. The girl informed me that because of the "known" manufacturers defect, It could not be exchanged...!

*I have a co-worker who had a similar issue with the same tank and they happily exchanged it for a different model.

She then had the nerve to tell me I could contact the manufacturer directly(they are based out of China)for a refund.
Meanwhile, they continue to sell the same tank(now on sale)to unsuspecting customers anyway....
I have over 20 years experience in retail sales and have never been treated nor treated any customer with such a nonchalance attitude as they have to me.
They have lost this customer for life.....!
