Your first one ...... a few days/weeks. After you learn (from experience) what you can/can't do with your atties they can last a good while. The atty I'm using today is over a year old.
Put a few drops extra in it, and blow it out. Maybe once a month toss it in some alcohol for an hour or so. Dry burn only when necessary. NEVER put an atty away dry. Always put a little juice in it after cleaning. The juice will absorb any water/alcohol still in the atty.
More atties are destroyed by cleaning than are destroyed by using.
