If you're new to dripping, a bridge gives you a margin of error, it holds a few drops of juice for the coil. A bridgeless atty is easier to flood, or get a dry hit, you need to keep it "dripped" with just the right amount, without too much as to start leaking.
With a 306 atty you can also take the tip off and dip the bridge into your juice. Used to be called "dipping" instead of dripping.
