A regular atomizer has a bridge on it which usually extends up into a tank or cartridge and pulls or wicks the juice down to the coil. A bridgeless atomizer is mainly used for directly dripping onto the coil itself.
A bridgeless is for dripping only, you cannot use a cartridge with it. I don't like the bridgeless they flood and leak to easy and can only hold 2 drops of juice. When dripping with a regular atty I start with about 4-5 drops then after 6-8 pulls add 3-4 more drops and it still does not leak because the bridge catches and hold all the liquid till the coil needs it.
I find using a bridgeless 510 with a vapemate works really well. By itself its a little troublesome as you have to keep dripping juice, unlike a 306 which can hold a good 10 puffs of juice without leaking through the airholes..
