I actually got a drip shield on. I use a pawz mod, so Atty connection is more raised than others, so no extension adapter on but still helps.

now, what I learned is this, certain flavors do getstuck. I has black licorice in one and no matter what can't get it it. so yes some can ruin it in regards to using other flavors. if you use only one flavor your great

Thanks...

Of course that brings another problem... I had thought it was bad enough trying to choose which style/color drip tip I wanted... now this

I used the Dream before, when it was only sold as part of a kit, and I loved it. I ordered one - should be here today or tomorrow.

I do have a question though, about cleaning. With my first one, I would blow it out, maybe run some unflavored though it, and it was good to go for flavor change. But I tried to clean it, once, and killed it. Namely, I dry burned it, and that was that: the horrible burnt taste took up residence and never went away.

So my question is: is it completely counter-indicated to dry burn these? Just clean them by soaking and rinsing?

I was just coming on here to ask the same question. I haven't dry burned mine yet, but I was looking at it and noticed there seems to be some kind of filler in there that would probably burn. Which means this is less like an atty and more like a tiny carto. Maybe we can just pull of that plate with three holes and drip staight to the coil?

I was looking at it more closely today in better light and also noticed it seems to have some filler material. Which could definitely explain why it's beginning to taste funky to me.

It's probably a wick not a filler - just like in any other atty... I may be wrong, but it seems to me that the only diff. between this atty and a reg. 510 one is that this one doesn't have a bridge, but a plate that covers the coil/wick assembly.

Thanks, Krispers - got it. :) I must say that the taste I got from the one I tried to dry burn was very... ummmm... educational.

Some actually ENJOY that burnt taste.....

The taste reminds me of burning to close to the filter of an analog!;)

I bought 6 Dream attys. My first one is still in use. The draw is getting pretty stiff. Tried to blow it out, but the stiff draw came back after the first hit. It could be the Boba's. It may need cleaning. I will try a new one tonight with some other flavor/mix. I like the idea of the vodka soak. I may join the atty in the bath.

Just thought I'd mentions this: these drippers dream attys are soooo user-friendly. I've never had any luck with dripping - it was always leaking, flooding, overheating, spitting, what-have-you - I gave up until I got my paws on this one. Love it.

And, btw, I discovered another reason to drip once in a while, aside from testing flavors: if I want a to imitate "a cig only has so many drags in it and that's what determines my relaxation time" experience, dripping it is. A certain number of drops determines the number of drags - perfect.
