Good morning.

Let me start by saying that I am not looking for lectures on safety or the hazards of sub-ohming. I am well aware of these hazards and take every precaution to avoid them.

That being said, I think it would be wise to inform you of my mod and atty set-up. I am using a [heavily modded] REO Grand with a Reomizer 2.0. My juices are all between 80/20 and 90/10, and I usually use cotton wicks.

Onto the point. I'm a cloud chaser. I typically run a 0.28Ω dual coil (6/7 wraps of 26G each, 1/16" diameter). I really don't have many complaints about this build, but I've been using it for some time and it's become a bit boring. One thing; it tends to burn rather quickly, but as long as I'm careful with my wicking, it's not a problem. I remember a build I made a few months ago (before modding my REO) which gave me insane clouds, and I remember using 28G wire and (I think) a 1/16" diameter wrap, but I can't remember how many wraps for the life of me. I guess the question I'm trying to ask is: for you dual coil using cloud chasers, what gauge wire, how many wraps, what ohmage, and what diameter coils do you usually use? My air holes are drilled out to 1/8". With my 0.28Ω builds, the flavor is phenomenal. I've found that if I move up to 0.4Ω or higher, the flavor dissipates completely because of my air hole size. Here's the kicker, though: my air holes were 1/8" a few months ago when I made that rockin' 28G build.

Your turn, ladies and gentlemen.

I do 26 gauge 6 wrap around 5/64 dual coils on practically every atomizer I own only I stopped doing 1/8th air holes because I started losing flavor. I'd like to get some 24g and do some larger ID coils but for now, I am satisfied with 26.

I began to think I was the only one that thought .4 was getting too high but I'm glad to know I'm not the only one.

I also have a couple 28 gauge 1/16th ID 8 wrap duals with baby 5/64th air holes that surprisingly simulate my ~.3 builds when it's closer to .4

Check out my builds on my sig. I actually think .25-.3 is a cold vape for me haha

Goodmorning Zm... why's there no subohm police here yet?:confused::closedeyes::laugh:

Hey good work guys you must all have mouths like asbestos... I just have to look at a deep sub ohm setup and my throat gets itchy and my lips and tongue start to feel like ive just had a shot of sulphuric..

maybe when my wider DT's arrive i'll give the super sub another shot.. I think 0.6 is about my limit atm even with 1/8th ...... :D

here.. I dont yet know how this would fair at low ohms as a dual or even if it would just die straight away but I been using 4wraps open coil on 30g 7/64 with cotton as a single about 1.1ohm and I get loads of everything and can hit it short or longgggg... just don't know if the wire will only last 5 mins or it would work...i'll come back later to see what you think... now im thinking I might try this later if I get bored again

I just went to 26 gauge on my reo yesterday - digging it alot ! The thing i don't get is how on earth you get flavor from that size air hole ? You were the one who saved my .... and showed me a fix for narrowing my air hole cause as i was chasing some mini clouds and lost all flavor with my larger airhole:: Everyone is so different its crazy -

i guessing you not a rip tripper fan at all then ? Actually speaking of him he did a sneak peak of this 160 watt APV--- the full review is out today - i havent watched it fully yet --- 160 watts should get some clouds no ?

I stick around 0.45 ohm for all day vape with 3/32 holes. 7/64 if I go lower but that's usually for the fun of the build. This just seems like the sweet spot for me. I don't find I gain much flavor at the expense of burning through my pricey juice at over 40 watts. Also even 6mg can sometimes be too much for me at the 0.2 range. I still do a couple builds a week in various gauge/coil setups though. I simply enjoy tinkering.

You can get clouds w/ 1 ohm single coil. Start w/ 1/16" air hole. Work air hole larger until lung hit feels right to you. The clouds are pretty impressive but cool. Once tune you single coil cloud machine I'd progress to dual coil.

I'd make two of your perfected 1 ohm coils to build a 0.5 ohm dual coil. Start w/ two 1/16" holes and work up again. I like dual 1/8" holes. The easiest may be IGO-W w/ PMMA cap which is easy to drill. The clouds don't look double the single coil but are warm and have powerful flavor.

0.5 is a little much for me. I enjoy 0.6 ohm dual coil.

Yep, take a long enough hit and you'll get plenty of vapor out of most builds. Personally I love short 2-3 second lung hits. And it's not so much the huge clouds but the fact that they bring really dense vapor/flavor. I lean towards warm (not hot) but some juices I prefer cooler (menthols, some fruits).

I started at dual 1/16" air holes. Built a dually. Took a vape. Drilled 5/64". Vape. 3/32". Vape. Etc.

Turns out I prefer dual 1/8" holes and 0.6 ohms. Other's taste will vary.
