Bringing a PV to a concert

What's your advice on bringing a PV into a venue.

Keep it in 'tune' to avoid undesired attention! 'Break a leg'...

Id make sure and have a juice bottle with a label in my pocket. something to prove its nicotine your vaping. There are vaporizers utilizing ... that are becoming popular very quickly. But when I was concert goer we passed er... uh.... lets say cigarettes openly. Nobody cared. I dont know what its like these days.

I'm 59 years old, but still young at heart. I took my college-aged daughter with me to see Muse live in concert back in February. I also worried about security staff possibly confiscating my gear, so I made sure not to bring my Provari's. I brought two Gripper type mods, a Smoktech VV Gripper and a Segelei V8 topped with smaller IBTanked pyrex cartotanks. Both PVs only cost me $30 each at the time of purchase, so if somehow I "lost" them I wouldn't be out a whole lot of money...not like a $180 Provari that I use day in and day out.

The V8 has a leather pouch/lanyard which I wore inside my shirt to get past the initial security at the door. The Gripper was in a shirt pocket. No patdowns. However, once in, I wore the lanyarded V8 out the whole concert and nobody paid any mind to it. I didn't vape until the lights went down and the concert started. There was plenty of herbal smoking going on there, too, from the smell of it, but I didn't actually see anyone partaking. There were security staff wandering around, probably on the lookout for that and cigarettes, as this was a non-smoking faciltiy.

Hope that helps. :) Muse is my favorite band, and also one of my daughter's favorites, too. This was the best live show that I've ever been to, and I've seen a lot of acts in my time.

Never had an issue at a mayhem festival. Most of the staff know what ecigs are. I just take an ego since i know i will prob mosh.

Wicked. Then I shall bring em! I don't have time to mosh though since I'm doing press coverage and photog at the event.

I attended another concert last summer, an outdoor venue featuring Journey, Pat Benetar, and Loverboy. I actually asked the security staff if I could bring my Provari into the event. She said, "Sure" and gave me a :thumb:

Loverboy headlined our Coconut Festival a few years back. We were in the first row.

I'm going to see the Eagles @ Bethel Woods on Thursday and was wondering if I'm going to be hassled about vaping there. I was there 2 years ago and was smoking on the lawn (as were others) but the place was packed-Elton John concert, so security would have had a hard time getting to us to ..... us out. I know they'll check my bag on the way in, so I'll have my stuff buried out of sight just in case. Don't want to have to hike it all back to the car.

What's your advice on bringing a PV into a venue. I want to bring an eGo battery with either a clearomizer or a protank on it. Suggestions?

I would suggest against the Protank as its glass and youll be ....ed if you drop it. I still have my SS Choice No. 7 power kit which is what I bring to shows (if im attending a show, not if im working at one, if im working Ill bring either an eGo battery or one of my mods). It really depends on the venue and the show. Are the security staff their ......? Are they going to tear the thing apart making sure it isnt drug paraphernalia? I would honestly go grab a disposable for the show if I were in your shoes. I take my cig styled No. 7 kit to shows though. I guess an ego battery with a cheapo ego threaded clearomizer would work. I would go with a cheap clearo for the show, not one of your nice ones.

It depends on the venue, in my experience. Here in Charlotte there are two small concert venues I frequent. One is a pretty nice, big venue, large stage, huge open crowd area with seating in the back, and a full bar on either side of the crowd area. I've asked them, and they said no, due to liability due to "illicit substance" use. The other venue is a small, old school punk rock club, and they don't care at all. They're the kind of place that was actually hit pretty hard by the smoking bans, and most of the folk who work there get the idea.

i've used egos, my vmod, and my precise at various concerts. there has never really been an issue and no one appeared offended. i guess i would just suggest not to use a cig-a-like if that's ok for anyone. as a person who has worked at a venue for a bit it's a bit more confusing when a pv looks like a cigarette, as there are usually issues with guests trying to smoke indoors. i know it helps out security quite often when they don't have to guess.
