I smoked for 10 years, anywhere from one to two packs a day and when I quit I felt worse than ever because of all the tar. My tar process lasted about 2 months but I think it took longer than it should have because I quit at a time of year when my allergies go nuts. After it was over it was all worth it though. Congratulations on quitting smoking, with a two pack a day habit you are saving your life and quite a bit of money to boot.

Wow. This is what I was going to post. Almost exactly. With the time frames and the allergies and amount of smoking. Except for I still get quite a bit up every day. I don't know about 4 packs/day, but I'm about 2 months in and its gotten a LOT better, but its still quite a bit.

KEEP VAPING!

I was smoking 70 a day when I quit just over 3yrs ago. It took a good 4mos to finally quit hacking up black flecks, especially in the mornings. My chest was also slightly sore for awhile. Not the muscle kind of sore, but the raw kind of sore. Then I had an internal itchy feeling for a few weeks. I'm sure it was my body healing itself from all of the destruction I did to it over the years. Good Luck! It will get better with time.
