Others seem to report more accurately than Sky who tend to hype. Reportedly he used only two vape liquids, type not stated, assume different flavours. He had been tested for reaction to the 2 liquids, one caused a severe reaction - assume a skin test was used.

Some inc Sky say he had been a cig smoker and had used cannabis in the past... no detail reported. There are bad THC carts in UK too, I wonder...

Thing is people are allergic to all sorts. And each individual can be unique in their allergies. I've never heard of anyone before now having an allergic reaction this bad to something vape related.

Sometimes people arrive in EFC fearing they may have an allergy to their vapour. But it's never anything serious.

There we go, the anti vape lobbying continues. Vaping can't help it that people can have an allergy to who knows what was in that liquid.

Why the news does not mention the amount of deaths and ill from regular cigarettes? Because those numbers are a trillion times more shocking.

Also I hear sounds from the Netherlands that lung specialists want e-cigarettes to become completely prohibited in the Netherlands, why those specialists do not say this about smoking? Money talks.

I just watched this item on the news. He's urging people not to vape. If i were him i'd be more concerned about what exactly it is i am allergic to !.

Imagine thinking you were allergy free from anything then finding out like he did.

Now i'm thinking that at some point i'm going to buy a flavouring for my D.I.Y and then fall into a coma after using it.

I can't understand why this was released to the press when it happened in 2017,my sympathy for the guy who had an allergic reaction to something, but what was he allergic too, more information needed and not forthcoming .

I think these doctors need to get a grip on lung problems caused by smoking and show us evidence of lung problems caused by vaping.

Its a concentrated attack on vaping by the press and big money, I can walk down the street and people don't bat an eyelid if you smoking but now they give dirty looks if you vape.

Vaping has been around for 10 years so you would think that the data is there to say what's what, no evidence of lung damage only if you vaped vit e and thc.

News coverage and making money selling his story is my guess. I wish the lad no ill will, but why talk about his story NOW, and not back in 2017/18?

I'm getting cynical in my old age - but the UK despite immense pressure, has held firm to their belief that vaping is 95% safer than smoking:

UK media, so far, do usually mention that NHS and PHE support and recommend vaping. There are vape kit corners in a couple of hospital shops.

This story was likely syndicated and picked up as the Doc involved recently said ban vaping... story then got picked up by hacks looking for a lazy way to a filler story.

Fingers crossed that the UK sticks to evidence based thinking regarding vaping, the call of BT cash is less powerful here.

You forgot the famous "plastic covered teeth" post on ECF and various other oddball fake posts ;)
