Broke link - SEO

Recently a mod broke some of the links I posted. Well I linked to a government website with a PageRank of 8, I assure you linking to them will do a lot more good for ECF (PageRank 4) then bad. Google rates outbound links just as high.

I agree the link I posted may have been seen a propaganda against E-cigs but It was just a study.

Anyhow, I suggest you look into a NoFollow plugin or module for the forum as this will tell Google not to let any PageRank juice flow out of ECF to low quality sites. This will let members still click a live link and the mods won't have to keep breaking links.

Just because it has a high page rank doesn't mean it deserves a pass on linkage. Linking to sites that spout rubbish should have the link broken. And considering most governmental sites spout massive amounts of rubbish, why should they get free Google Fu from ECF?
