If weight is a problem, I'd suggest another evic control head as a backup ... evic weigh a good bit less than other mods.

There is also a evic control head that works more like an ego. It's cheaper, but obviously less feature packed. It would probably make a good cheap backup head though....

I don't have an evic, so I don't know for sure, but it saw a reviewer try it, and use the evic tube on the Sid, and it didn't work because of some extra part the evic has on the top of the battery tube. Pbusardo screwed the tube from the evic onto the Sid, so the threads are the same, but I didn't see him operate the device in that configuration.

I would go with it not working then being I don't own either.

SID has the same Tube configuration and Head contact as eVic. All major parts are interchangeable to both units.

SID Tubes are sold on many respected vender sites as replacements or color upgrades for eVic.

EasyHead is the dumbed down controller for the eVic tube.
Lower cost, 3 power settings, USB Charging

Sid also does NOT have Vamo electronics, just the China Standard 33hz chipset.
3 buttons Mods use one board design and 1 button mods use another.
SID Board is likely a variant of the Z-max board.

Thanks for clarifying.

Sorry for the inaccuracies, I miss spoke of the the vamo. From the reviews I saw, the chip on the sid is an upgrade to the max style chips.

I have a VAMO and have watched videos of the SID, the electronics are the same....or made by the same company.
