I got my SID about 3 weeks ago and I LOVE it but there where times when I was getting some weird taste and my best
assumption was that the aluminum tube was getting different resitance with the temperature because once the tube was getting
warm everythign was ok but I was wrong.
I bought some tubes for my other APV , the eVic , and I replaced the battery cap on the SID with the eVic one and
I never ever had any variations in taste , I think that the battery cap on the SID doesn't make contact properly with the
battery because of the crappy spring integration.
If you like the SID , which I prefer over my sigelei Zmax because of the switch being better
IMHO, buy an eVic tube and swap the battery cap. The eVic tube itself can be used for the SID once you remove that dumb plastic washer
or increase the hole for the battery contact so the SID pin can go trough it., I just remove it altogether.
