Hey guys, I read a lot here but decided to register as I'm having a problem. I got a 901 yesterday and have been enjoying it. I haven't smoked analogs for two days now. However today my 901 seems to have just died on me. It started getting weak so I thought it needed a refill, didn't help. Then five minutes later it just totally stopped kicking anything out. Tried refilling again and changing batteries, nothing. I guess the atty is dead already after one day? It isn't heating up at all. I knew I should of listened to everyone and buy 2-3 attys! Anyway, now I have no PV and will start needing a cig real soon. Will be at least two days until a new atty comes.

Glad to hear you're back and working. I think you'll like the DSE901. I know I like mine. Since you're really new I'll offer a suggestion. Check out the mod (for modification) subforum here. Then the cartridge mod area under that. These are ways to modify the cartridge to make the juice flow to the atomizer better. I use the straw mod and it makes a very noticeable difference in both vapor and taste when juice flows freely to the atomizer.

It's stopped working again! What's going on? Last time it just started working after awhile but it's been broke for a few hours. Can't get any vapor or anything again. Tried different liquids, batteries, tried direct dripping, nothing! Any idea what I can do now? I don't know if the atty is dying or if i've done something wrong. If the atty was on it's way out would it suddenly stop working completety and then be really strong again like it did? Thanks for the advice so far guys, will definatly try the straw mod and buy some more attys.

Try blowing it out maybe?

Take a piece of paper towel, wadded up and hold it in the cart side of your atty, just lightly against the wick. Then blow into the battery side hard and long.

If you hear gurgling noises and the paper towel comes out soaked in juice, it's probably flooded.... keep doing this with clean spots on the towel, till no juice come out... then I would let it sit, battery side up on a paper towel for an hour or two to let it get good and dry... after you've given it a rest, drip 2 or 3 drops on the wick and try again.

I flooded one out yesterday, and that took care of it for me

EDIT: also, if you are dripping (or flooding in general), make sure you are doing it either on a manual battery, or being very careful that juice isn't making it all the way down to your battery (drip with battery not attached and wipe off connections with a paper towel before re-attaching)

Thanks for the reply Triage. I tried that just before you posted and it worked. I blew it out and then also but a hairdryer on the ends for a few seconds each. Having yet another problem now. Everytime I disconnect the battery and reattach it, it stops working again. It didn't work again for about 30 minutes this time. I wonder if it's still not dry enough or if there's more problems than that. Can't see why reconnecting the battery can break it again.

Clean the batt threads with a qtip and alch, make sure atty is screwed down tight, when you draw from it make sure your fingers arent covering the little holes in the atty. It sounds like you flooded the atty and the batt threads. The joy of the learning curve but weve all been there.

EDIT: yeah, what he said ^^ ... I type too slow i guess :)

Maybe the flooding got down into the atty threads?

Wipe them out real good with a Q-Tip if you have one, or paper towel if you don't (I seem to go through a lot of paper towels lately lol). And then do the same with the threads of the battery (I've been trying get my fingernail tip with one layer of towel over it into the battery thread, and the work it all the way up and down the threading ..... a lot of gunk gets in there) and top of the battery.

If the juice got into there and dried, maybe it's preventing you from making a good connection?

Wow, didn't think I would get anymore replies. Yeah it's definatly charging, it's red when I plug it in then turns green when it's charged. I think it's something to do with the connections, if I unscrew and rescrew the battery from the atty about 5-10 times it starts working. Already cleaned the connections though so I don't know why it's happening!

I'm also getting annoyed with refilling the cart every 1-2 hours to keep a good throat hit and vapor, I don't even use it constantly like a lot of people here do.
