So I ordered the Atlantis v2 and a new pair of efest 18650 2500mah/ 35a batteries and when I got both in the mail everything was fine, the atlantis hit like a beast and the bats worked like a charm. They fired my Atlantis as well as my authentic mutation x and tugboat (both under .3 ohms) But one day, I had my Atlantis on and when I pushed the firing pin, nothing happened and the mod/battery(my new efest) got extremely hot in less then a second push of the button. I went home to test out the rest of my batteries. The exact same thing happened to the other efest as well as my pair of Sony vtc4's. When before this happened, all 4 of my bats would fire all my tanks and would charge with no problem in my nitecore i2. Now, none of my batteries will charge or fire any of my tanks. I'm really ...... off because now I have to order all new batteries and tanks and I'm just confused on why this happened. The only possible reason I can think of is I left my mod with the efest battery and Atlantis v2 in my freezer for a couple hours( I forgot about it, only wanted to keep it in there for 10 mins to cool it down). If that is why this could have happened then it's my mistake I would just like some help and opinions from you guys, any help is appreciated, thank you.

What power device are you using?
Have you checked the batteries with a multi meter / volt meter?
Did you measure the resistance of the atlantis or check it for a short before you tried other batteries?
Sounds like the Atlantis coil shorted and you in turn shorted all your batteries, even using stock heads you should check them occasionally using an ohms meter.
How else are you gonna know what the resistance is or if one has gone bad / shorted?

I had a sentinel m16 clone

The Purple Efest 18650 2500mah "35 amp" batteries are actually only 20 amps continuous discarge (CDR). O.3 ohms is pretty low for those specific batteries. Efest is notorious for over-rating their battery specs.

Explain It To The Noob: Ohm's Law Calculations

Don't put batteries in a freezer or refrigerator; they should always remain at room temperature. A battery or mod should never get hot to the touch; if they do then something is drastically wrong with your setup and should not be used until the reason is found and corrections made.

So, the short could be in the mood instead of the atty, but the only safe way to find out what's going on is an ohm meter. You'll need to check both the mod, and the atty. In addition, now that they've been shorted, throw those batteries in the trash. (Figuratively, Actually, take them to be recycled.) Now, not latter, they already were not great batteries, and now that they've been over stressed, are time bombs.

I had a sentinel m16 clone I got off fasttech

If you're running serious low ohm coils, there's lots of regulated mod you could be using, like the sigelei 150 for example.

If you're going to use a mech with it, no point skimping out on one that isn't designed to withstand the heat from low ohm coils.

maybe you melted an insulator either in the 510 connection or the switch at the bottom.

I love my cheap $10 aluminium spring loaded centerpin m16 sentinel from fasttech; even bought 3 of em; makes for a great backup, but I don't stress them out with fancy coils.
