I got a brand new itaste 134 a few days ago, and it's defective. I know Innokin offers a warranty, but I have NO idea how you'd get that honored. I do not have a receipt for it, it was a group buy.

The light goes on and it makes a buzzing noise when the button is pressed... but barely fires the atomizer. It's not the battery. It will vape at the lowest possible setting. I have tried 6 different 18650 batteries in it, all of which work in other mods perfectly. I have tried every type of atomizer on it, from carto to rba to rda. It's not the ohms, it's not the atomizer pin either, the 134 center is not stripped, nor have I torqued any atomizers down on it to have budged it in the few days I've had it. The top pin looks and is new and not even scratched.

When I got it, it DID work, but stopped working within a day. What appears stuck is the ring, it turns fine, but doesn't change any settings regardless of what it locks into. It seems stuck on a low setting. It will make teeny vapor, barely a smolder, no matter what you rotate the wheel to.

What I most want to know is... how to get the screws out? Is there actually a tool? Where could that tool be obtained?

In the last 6 hours, I have stripped 3 small screwdrivers (out of a Kobalt Screwdriver Set for electrical repairs), and nearly stripped the screws themselves. IS there a dedicated tool I could use??? Does someone know of Allen wrenches or something that has worked?? I put WD-40 on all the screws already... didn't help. Just ordered Permatex Dielectric Tune-Up Grease, CRC QD Electronic Cleaner, and Gardner Bender OX-100B Anti-Oxidant compound on Amazon to try (wanted them anyway). But that will take 2 days... and I suspect the problem will still be the tool... the shape of the holes seems more suited for an allen wrench than screwdrivers.

Has anyone gotten these screws out?? (I know someone has, I found a painted one in a search). Please can someone offer some suggestions? Been searching for hours and not even a hint for the correct tool to use. Thank you for any suggestions!!!

Here's a pic of one I disassembled.. Just start taking the Phillips heads out.. Actually not too hard. The screws in the Middle, seemed to have a bit of loc tite on them, below the vw adjustment ring. but they did come out.. Use lots of pressure when starting them to turn so you don't strip the heads..

Kevin, thanks for the pix.

That's the part I need loosened, the split in the middle... but looking at your pix... you still can't get to the area behind the rotating dial??

What does the underside of the right hand 1/2 look like?

That's what must be disconnected on mine. The area where the wires go down to the round Watt area. I did get the top off. It's the BOTTOM part I need to remove, the part behind the center watt turning ring, because my entire problem is the inability to control the wattage by turning that ring. It turns... and nothing happens.

The lights go on. The button buzzes. It fires. It just will not go up in volts or watts in conjunction with the turning of that dial. It won't vape anything except at a very sad wisp of vapor that is tasteless. But it IS firing that small wisp...

Could you PLEASE tell me what screwdriver you used? Brand and size ideally. My 6'3" 190 lb of muscle 21 year old son could not get those screws out, and stripped 3 Kobalt screwdrivers trying. The threads are mostly stripped, but if I had a tool that actually FIT precisely into that slot, it might still work.

Thank you!!! I really appreciate the help!!!

I may be oversimplifying here, but if the unit is only a few days old, why not contact the vendor and inquire about a replacement before tearing it apart?

I think the only way to fix these type of mods is to take the topper off, set it aside; throw the mod in the trash...

Solid input! Seriously, didnt anyone ever tell you "if you don't have anyting nice to say"....well you know the rest.

The Vendor is a group buy, and we are apparently having communication issues, since I cannot get this person to send any information regarding the receipt/invoice, which would be required for any level of satisfaction from Innokin. I would rather attempt to solve the problem myself than have to stick toe in that situation again if there's any possibility of fixing it.

Well, I fixed it!!! I am not sure exactly what I did to fix it... I still can't get the screws out of the bottom, but I did get the screws out of the top, and removed a loose yellow piece of cellophane... I think that was there to protect the circuit board from moisture coming from the open button, and it MIGHT have slipped down to cover the circuit board itself, preventing firing, but I'm not certain. All I know is, I took it out, and it works now:).

I'm still curious about the underside of the right hand part, Kev3n... but if you don't have time, that's ok. I appreciate the pix you already posted. You must have a super secret special screwdriver, since my middle quality not entirely cheap screwdrivers stripped on these screws...

Thanks! It's all better now:)!!

Kind of like this part of your post?

Hate to break it to you, but Chinese made mods are made to be disposable.

Nice Red Herring! Thing is i participated in this thread hoping i may be able to learn something or possibly help the user.

You participated in this thread by spreading more elitism crap that does nothing but make someone who already has an issue with the product possibly feel even worse.

There was NO justification for you to come into this thread and insult this members equipment.

Keep it classy!

I taught you something. Made in China is disposable.

I'm sorry if the equipment's feelings got hurt...
