broken M401 battery?

If I blow on the tip the LED will light up. When connected when i pull a drag it will only light for a second and turn off. Doesn't seem to be able to tell I'm pulling a drag.

if it lights then turns off when drawing on it then its probably a bad battery. The timer in it is knackered, you should get a good 5 second draw on it before it cuts out.
Ask your supplier to send out a replacement

Are you sure your cart has enough juice in it? Some of these batteries randomly seem to be 'smart' and will cut off if they do not detect enough juice, to prevent atomizer burnout. I don't know how that would effect blowing on the LED end though...

I had talked to another member earlier in the week. He and I had the same problems. He used CRC electronic spray on his and it worked great. It is a spray sold in auto parts stores, used to clean electrical components. Spray directly into battery hole. It will clean contacts inside. The inside gets eliquid residue buildup.
I didn't have any on hand, so I used automotive brake shoe cleaner (dries very, very fast like ether.) After spraying cleaner Lightly blow it out with compressed air, or wait a short while till it air dries. Be careful not to get in your eyes, etc., the spray shoots out hard and fast. Mine is working fine again. I also take a Q-Tip damped with rubbing alcohol and swab the outside contact off, as well as the atomizer contact.

Well said. One of my batteries was really touchy like this is well. Frequent cleaning with rubbing alcohol on the battery/atomizer contacts solved this for me.
