So I just got a new vox mini mod with a sub ohm tank from vaporfi 3 days ago and loved it... but I went to go pull it out of my pocket and I dropped it probably not even 3 feet on the carpet floor when I picked it up it looked fine but the interface read no atomizer. I had a 1.2 in so I switched it to my .5 and it still read no atomizer so I messed with the pins on the tank and battery and it read the .5 but not the 1.2. but then when I went to hit the .5 it burnt the .... out of my mouth and it almost tasted like battery acid and it was making a frying noise so I have no idea what the problem is. So i need to know if i need to replace the mod or the tank or if i can fix it or if i just need to trash the whole thing.

I'm sorry to hear this

The people you bought your e-cig from are a company that like to show off about their customer service.
They also charge for this 'privilege' by being one of the most unacceptably expensive brands in the world, as far as I can tell. What they sell is re-branded products made by other e-cig manufacturers.

I hate them with a sort of energy that is not even acceptable to write on the internet.

Send it back,
get a refund,
never return.

Worst case, write it off.

It may not be broken, but you'd need to do some experimenting first. Switching from a 1.2 ohm coil to a 0.5 ohm coil in some circumstances could lead to unexpected sizzling (frying) and spitting. You'd need another tanks and coil really. Obviously, if you don't have, then I wouldn't recommend getting anything from your current brand.

yes i completely agree with you they are way to0 expensive but my family owns a couple smoke shops and we buy from them occasionally so i get a great discount there. I thimk the fried taste was bc when i first got it, i put the watts on 40 and it was only meant to go up to 28 that's why i had switched it to the 1.2 spare so i might have burnt it. I wasn't sure if i did though bc this is my first ecig so idk the signs i should be looking for. I had already ordered a new tank( the vSIX vox mod tank) bc my sub ohm was bubbling like crazy no matter what coil i use. It comes in tomorrow so i hope this fixes my problem and if not ill just have to hope thatll they'll give me all my money back.

In your opinion what coil do you think i should use ive never smoked cigs but ive been smoking E's ever since i was a freshman in HS (bc back then i thought i was cool doing that .... and not looking like a ... sucking on a douche stick) but now im 18 and way too addicted to stop so what should i get and i can pretty much handle any harshness.

My recommendation would be something based on your preferred style of vaping; either powerful (higher watts) and 'direct to lung' or more gentle (lower watts) 'mouth to lung'.
For example, 5-15 watts is usually the standard mouth to lung and 15-60 (or more, even) for direct.
The makers try to match the coils (airflow and liquid wicking) to the general user requirements but not everything suits everybody.

For MTL (mouth to lung) the Aspire Mini Nautilus or Eleaf Air or GS tanks are good.
Nautilus BVC comes in 1.6ohm and 1.8ohm. Eleaf pure cotton (Air) comes in 1.2ohm (and others too actually)

For Direct, the Kanger subtanks, Aspire Cleito, Innokin iSub are good solid choices.
Kanger do low resistance coils (SSOCC 0.5ohm) aimed at 20-50 watts users or higher resistance (SSOCC 1.2ohm) aimed at the 10-20 watt range.

I'm pleased to hear about your discount. If something is actually broken, you should try for a refund. Whether you go back or not is up to you. Unless you are paying half price, you're still not getting a good deal.

Thank You for the help. I ended up getting a vSIX tank for my vox mini. I love it so far the only problem is I cant really taste the eliquid and in the other tank the flavor was very strong and I can only use the .45 coil with the vox mini. But im planning on returning the whole original setup and getting a vox 60 with the vsix tank. and you were spot on with the discount it is 50% off.

I think the problem im having is that my battery can only read it as a . 4 instead of a .45 so it auto changes the volts to 3.9 when it should be a lower voltage
