I have an original screwdriver and dropped it and broke the switch. Does anyone know where to get one and how to replace it? Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks Sun! Mine has the round retaining nut on it. Will the hex nut fit? Have you replaced one before? If so, how?
Dusty and Annikeo used them and it is posted over at Dusty's Forum--Dusty got his from Radio Shack. It is pretty straight forward N.O. Momentary Switch--Radio Shack has black and red.
Pulll the Rubber cap off the Switch you have now and look at all the room you have for the nut.

Thanks Sun and crash. I just don't see how to get the old one out. There is no room to grab the nut when the cap is removed and I can't seem to get a hold on it from the inside.
I got on the screwdriver forum and finally figured out how to get the switch out. I am debating on whether to get the switches from trog or just try to find them locally.
i can change an SD mk 1 switch in the dark hehehe
parts: 1, part probe or good twezers, 2, thin pliers or needle nose pliers,
3, radio shack part # Mini SPST 1.5-Amp Momentary Pushbutton Switch (2-Pack)

you have to have had before hand, bent and solidered one leg to switch body, then insulate other leg and bend over grounded leg.
take switch button top off,( well if its broken off, ok )take SD apart, remove battery, look down or feel with probe or twezers for a little dimple next to bottom of switch body, and turn to left, kinda hard to do but its a push down with tool and push to left with tool, as in lossens push down lghter and push left more like using tool to turn a screw, when switch lossens enough, turn over and it will fall out. used leatherman to take switch from inner holder, and in the dark put two lock washers on the in side ( gf was asleep, i was in bed. hehehe) it gives a seemingly shorter switch throw.
i use those switches for the PTs i am making too.

and hittman, i was stuck in st joesph for a month in feb-march, had an appendix blow up. vaped a little in the heartland hospital, the carts i had got used up, got a nurse to get me a syringe and did the squizze thing to get some vape on...
Get them local, its a simple solder fix, even someone whos first time soldering was doing the switch replacement did it

Once u have it out u can see the place to solder, then use the plastic washer insulater thingie on the new switch, bend the terminal down like the old one and screw back in---super easy. If ur still not confident or mess up, its only a $3 loss then u can buy the predone ones. If u lose the plastic washer, any plastic cut to size will do. Trog sent me a how to on it so if u cant find it and need it, Id be happy to thumb thru and find mine and email it to u, just PM me if u need it

Thanks everyone. I did get the switch out. I didn't realize until I got it out that it was mounted in that threaded piece. Now I know and will not have a problem replacing it. Thanks to everyone here for the help.
