Hi,

I have been vaping for about a week and i have been using cartos which is ok but the problem i have is that i don't want to let them dry up so i have been topping them up all the time because i'm not sure how much you can get out of them and i don't want to burn them.
does any one know roughly how many cigarettes worth you can get out of these things?
Anyway i have just ordered some bud tank atomizers from ......... they hold 1.5ml and i think these may be better for me because i will be able to see how much liquid is in them.
The only thing is i'm not sure if they will be ok to use with my standard 510, i expect they will be ok for my riva though.
Has anyone else used these?

Holly, sorry I don't know the "bud tank atomiser" but I have used Boge LR 2ohm cartos for a long time now and have found them to be just fine.

For the last few months I've been using them with a Liquinator tank system which stops them from drying out and I can see when the liquid is running low & just top up the tank. The tank holds 3ml and that does me for a day, mostly, so top ups are just 1/day.

I use eGo/Riva batteries as my everyday system and that works fine. Your standard 510 batteries should also work fine but the tank is going to look fairly big on those.

Anyway, hope this helps.

I have used the Bud and the Sapphire 2.0 Bud Atomizer, when they work they do great vapor, good flavor. I ordered the bud from on vender and worked for about 2 weeks on one and 3 weeks on the other with moderate vaping. I ordered the Sapphire an upgrade to the Bud as I understand it. The first two (they come 2 to a pack from this vender) worked with no problems...the second order would not stop leaking. So from my point of view you have a 50/50 chance with them.

There are clear cartos that are dual coiled that work very well, that is what i am using now. As long as you can see that the batting is wet you are fine, which with the clear ones it is very easy. Several suppliers offer the Dual Coil Clear Mega XL Cartomizer and the Clear eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer. Just something for you to think about. But if you decide to go for the Bud I wish you more luck than I had with them. Take Care!

Re normal stuffing cartomizers -

If the flavor or vapor gets weak or dry, if the slightest loss of sweetness is noticed, if the carto is getting warmer than normal, I add juice

I use thin clear juices, PG w/ 10-20% VG. I avoid all juices that drop flavoring sediment (usually dark or cloudy juices) because sediment gunks up the coil and clogs the stuffing. I use a simple plastic or delrin drip tip as a mouthpiece instead of the endcap. So I can look at the stuffing and if the top has gone white, it could use some juice. I look before putting a fresh battery on, before leaving the house, and any time I think I've been vaping enough that it may need juice.

I don't think I can use lr cartos on the 510 but I might try them on the riva. Does the liquinator go on top of the carto then? I've never heard of it.

You can have a look at the Liquinator here: Vape-O-Matic Liquinator 3mL

If you have a close look at the image you'll see that a slot has been added to the bottom part of the carto. As you vape, the liquid that you've used is replaced from the tank so the carto never runs dry/never burns.

The part I really like is that it takes less than 30 secs to refill and that will do me for a day.

Might be something to consider.

Well bud tank came today, really easy to fill and I like the fact that I can see how much is in there but it is quite long and my cone doesn't fit over it so it doesn't look great. I filled it with ry4 and compared to a carto with the same juice you can't taste the sweetness as much as with the carto.
Still quite good though and no leaking so far.

This Liquinator looks like somehing I'm interested in. But I'm still a little confused about something. Like you, I use Boge LR 2ohm cartos myself. (In fact, I just ordered yet another 15 pack from CCV).
But will the regular Boge Cartos I buy work with this?
It appears from what I can see that you need special "slotted" or "grooved" cartos made specifically for the Liquinator tank system. If that's the case, guess I'll have to wait.
I really don't want to buy any more cartos right now....when this next shipment of standard LR Boge cartos gets here, I'll already be up to my neck in them.
Thanks in advance for any more info you can provide. (The answer is probably plain as day and I've just missed it somehow).

They are the same cartos as you just ordered but they are slotted. Nothing special about the cartos....some people put their own holes into the carto and make it themselves....It has been found that there is really no difference if the carto is slotted or has a hole in the same place as the slotted you see in the pics...
Take a look at bigdaddyvapor or parkesvaping and look at their set ups for tanks....same premise...diferent vendor.....
This is really very easy...

Ok...thanks. I THINK I understand. (Don't mind me, I'm a little slow sometimes).
So the bottom line is, that the cartos I just ordered (which don't have any special sort of "slot" that I can see, but rather just a couple of holes down by the threads), will work with this system.
OR, do I still have to be "handy with tools"(?)
These are the cartos I always order:
Crystal Clear Vaping

The cartos from ccv will be reg cartos that have no holes or slots.....what I am saying is you can put slots or holes in these cartos in order to use the liquidnator...
The handy with tools only involves using a sharp nail and hammer and being careful to just break the surface and not go into the stuffing of the carto....

If you decide to use the liquidnator, they send a slotted or punched(with hole) carto with the tank......watch their video on their website to see how to use it.....

Thanks again...I'll check out the video. But easy or not, I was hoping that the 30 some odd cartos I'll already have would just work as is.
Just call me "tired of playing around with these e-cigs". I'm still pretty new at this...a little over 2 months), and I've tried everything under the sun pretty much, and at this point I would rather spend less time playing around in one way or another with these silly things, and more time vaping. :D

I tried the Sapphire Bud cartos and was not impressed with them. They were easy to fill but the draw was hard, the amount of vapor was barely adequate and they started leaking after a while. If you're interested in clear cartos, look into CE2's Clearos. GotVapes has a good variety of clear cartos. I recommend they Fluxomizers (their brand name for CE2) as well as their Vision line.

Well like I said, a slotted carto comes with the liquidnator....all you have to do it fill it....learn by watching the video.....
granted, ecigs has a huge learning curve, and it is not as simple as going to the corner store for a pack of smokes, but the benefits of useing ecigs totally out weigh the hazzards of cig smoking......
