Just got back from opening the up the camp. The blackflies were horribly buzzing around my head as I raked the yard. I found myself automatically blowing vapor clouds all around my head on my exhales as I always used to do with a cigarette. The smoke from an analog used to back the bugs off quite well. No such luck with the vapor though, it didn't slow them down one bit. If anything, it attracted more of 'em. Maybe those bugs aren't so dumb after all!

Muskol is the stuff you need, hon. It's Canadian, & it works very well. Just one of those little spray bottles will do you fine. This may sound odd, but we love the smell of it. Brings back good memories. As does the classic image of the Muskol guy (there's a newer portrait now on some of the new bottles that doesn't do it for us, lol - classic portrait is still on some sizes though, so yay).

I wonder what vaping Muskol would do for the flies?

LMAO! That's Canadian for you!

O.T. Do you remember the old "Deep Woods Off" commercial on CBC where the family would be out in the woods and would hear the announcers deep voice call out "Deeeep Woooooods!"?

The best was the CBC French version where the announcer would call out "Region Sauvages!"

You know Avon sells this stuff called Skin So Soft....

grew up with parents that disagreed on this point... Mom swore by SsS and dad swore by industrial strength Muskol... sometimes i would get doused with both... all i know is that as a kid i never got bit at all... my sister on the other hand could have every flyswatter adn repellant in the world around her and she'd still get eaten alive... skin chemistry plays a factor here i think!!
