Hello everyone,
Trying to get a few post to put this elsewhere, but I really need a little help, so I hope people read this part of the forum who are not newbs like myself. I will get on topic, but first I think introductions are in order.
My name is Danny, I live in St Louis, and I have been vaping for a little over a week. Since then I have ordered half a dozen kits for employees, friends, and families. It's great to see the people around me "feeling" more healthy because of a lack of relying on analog nicotine delivery. (we call them robots at my work, inside joke their I guess)
I started with a DSE901 starter kit with an extra battery (all 3 auto) and 2 extra attys. Total of 3 of each. I have been using all three batteries as I was a heavy smoker, and switching out between two attys every other day with one as a back up.
Problem is that one of my batteries never worked right out of the box. I don't want to disclose the name of the supplier as they did a great job in placing order, shipping, prices, etc and I would not like to discourage patronage to their site based on what seems to happen from time to time. Here is what happend:
After charging until full and screwing this battery on the atty, from the first use it was glitchy. Sometimes it would work flawlessly and other times the blue led would strobe or flutter off and on during drag. I thought this was weird and stopped using the battery for the most part. Then after realizing I need that third battery to get through a whole day at work, I started using it for dripping as I didn't care if that one crapped out since I had more bats on the way. After about 5 days it seemed like it was a dud. Couldn't get the light to come on unless sucking really hard compared to the other batteries.
I came up with a solution that might help others with crappy bats, but I don't want to wreck my attys to use a junk battery. I have heard that bad batteries can cause the atty to not run properly and burn out quicker. I have to jump start this battery now with a quick pull with my finger over the hole in the atty. This greatly increases the pressure at which I am sucking on the battery without having to suck any harder. This seems to get the battery going everytime and then I let off the hole to take a drag once the light comes on.
Anyone else have this problem? It seems like a faulty switch in the battery, but I don't know much about these things other than what I have read on this forum.
Sorry for the long post,
happy vaping
Danny
