Building a mod

Hi, so i'm new here and i'm going to cut straight to the chase. I've decided to build a mod using a very unique case. I've got an old wiimote shaped like the 11th doctor's sonic screwdriver that with some modifications to the layout inside should hold a couple of batteries and all the gubbins i need.

Now i've got a couple of questions.

1) i'm going to be using the dna 40D chipset to control this mod. - how many resettable fuses should i be using to make this safe?

2) i'm looking for some wired pack batteries that would be around the same width as an 18650 battery so i can fit them in to the casing. Space is going to be at a premium in there and so i need something that will give me a good size mah but i can fit sensibly inside.

so thats my first post and my questions any and all help would be appreciated, especially if you think i've missed something.

Forget mah on those batt packs, look for higher amps. As far as your question, no idea, but I'll give you the bump.

Thanks for the bumps guys, BigCatDaddy, since i'm wanting this to be more of an apv than a cloud chasing rig wouldn't mah provide more stamina? or am i still best looking at the amperage of the batteries? ( I want the batteries to last at least a day before recharging.

If you planning to use Li-Po, use this fuse MHP-TA15-9-77 TE Connectivity / Raychem | Mouser. Two fuses should be enough for 30amps

cheers ozen, my only worry with li-po is the safety aspect, but i don't know if i can fit an 18650 battery holder inside this and i kinda want it to be a sealed mod too

some pics of the case i'm going to be using - obviously needs some internal work - but just to give an idea, i'm looking at fitting the 510 at the tip, (green bit, there's already a micro usb hole at the base

ok so now looking at stripping out the MVP 20w I've got and cannibalising its parts for this mod, to cut costs - but now unsure as would that affect my build too much?

I think the biggest issue you'll find is the limited space you have to work with. It may work out, may your gunna have to finagle somethings in there for sure! Good Luck!!

That will make a cool Mod! Look on Evolv DNA web sight you dont need any fuses you can use them but they are not needed. All of the technical information you need to use a DNA is available on the sight I put a DNA 40 in a Hamond box nothing unique there but it was fun to do and a great learning exp
