to start off i can't stand ordering stuff online. i'm fairly lucky in having 3 big ecig stores near by that has lot of equipment. so my question is, is there any way to build a variable voltage box mod using electronics strictly from radio shack? i understand it would be more complicated then buying madvapes kit. maybe there's a tutorial i missed somewhere? been searching for awhile for a way to do this.

hum, interesting question...... I guess you could build a variable voltage circuit board from radio shack parts.... design your circuit board with the proper components, and populate it with the electronic parts from radio shack....will be more costly with radio shack's profit margins, and more time consuming to build your own boards as opposed to getting one already made....

Would be easier and cheaper to buy a vv module online, or a kit, tho.......good luck.....

As an example........ on ebay.....

You really limit your resources by shopping at t3h shack. There are some vapor-specific cicuits available online that will net you alot less headache than soucing this-and-that locally. I'd comapre it to building a house from mud. It can be done. Is it a PITA? Yes. Is it more effort than it's worth? Yes.

Another option would be to buy something at your local store and gut it for the components. I recently bought a brand-new Vamo jsut to gut it for the circuit.

Certainly not a 4chan reply. You are using the internet now to research, acquisition is just so much better via the net. Doing this just with RS parts would be oversized, overpriced and I'm sure they wouldn't have everything in store and would use the net themselves, and charge you more for it. The link you got is for just a few dollars, and for that matter you can spend 0 in a samples program. Theoretically you could cobble together a LED dimmer, a radio and a laptop power supply but ???

I suppose you could call and order over the phone though and send in a check or money order.

it really more stems from id like to know how to put one together along with a small display in case something goes wrong i can just run over to the store and pick up a couple more parts instead of waiting a few days. yesterday i ordered a bunch of stuff off madvapes. already dissapointed with their service. i ordered at about 5am yesterday morning and its still "processing" when i even paid extra for overnight. madvapes vv kit isnt even in stock so i had to order the individual pieces anyway. now im just complaining to complain i guess.
