Soo yesterday i bought some 28 gauge canthol and some 3mm silica.
I woke up today and decided i was going to built...MIND YOU I DONT KNOW HOW.
i watched the guy at the shop i go to (truvapes in vegas) build a few RBA's.
I smoke a IGO-W dual coil.

So this morning i got my gerber miltitool and some scissors and a lighter and went to work.

Heated up the canthol and silica and did 4 decently close wraps that i spred apart the touching coils.
Then watched a few youtube videos... and did the install. Kept the coils close to the post but not touching..and then test fired

Each coil has 4 wraps. Snugged up against the posts.

My test fire i labled a sucsess being that they glowed outward from the center of the coil.

Heres the part i will be crusifide for.. no i didnt check the ohms. I know i know i know.

Im using a k100 with a 18490.

After a few test glows and a little liquid. I did another test...no glowing coils wgile wet...so far aoo good.

Added more juice and took a good drag and it works great.
No head in the battery and no problems to occur.

Im highly satisfide...

Qyestion now..is there an easier way to build these coils? Yes i do plan on getting an ohm tester in a few days..

What woukd be a easier way to make my coils so they are more even?

Dude..... you made a 28ga dual a coil with 4 wraps on each coil? That is a crazy low resistance, doing crap like this when you don't know what you're doing is just not smart.
You're almost definitely exceeding your batteries amp limits.
Please, stop that until you get a way to measure resistance.

There's not really an easier way to do it. If anything other methods are more fiddly but might produce a more even coil. Which doesn't even matter that much.

EDIT: As long as that is an AW 18490 you should be okay with the amp draw (I believe the 18490 is a 15C battery, 16.5A continuous). I am gonna ballpark that build at ~.4 ohms (~10 amps max). But it could be quite a bit lower and you would still be ok.

Aw 18490 1100mah has a 8c rating
their coil is about 0.3ohm maybe 0.2
at 4.2 volts at 0.3 gives them 14Amps

AW calls it a 15C battery. It's probably not that low ohm, and no battery delivers 4.2v at the coil.

You know what's not helping? Encouraging the poster with "you should be OK" when they aren't ohming out their bulid. Sorry, but you are dead wrong and completely irresponsible. Your past posts defending unsafe behavior are proof of your immaturity. Grow up and be an adult before you dispense advice please.

Also, I tried a 4 wrap of 29ga 2.5 ID on my Igo-W and it metered to .8, dual coil would be .4 and he's using 28ga.

Either way, Are you seriously saying that it's fine to build sub-ohm coils with no way to check resistance?

No I'm not, but the OP already knows he should have a way and is getting one. So there's no reason to .... on him.

"You should be OK" is based on the situation here, the OP knows he needs a meter and is remedying that.

Bottom line is he took a little risk to get the coils built (not nearly as huge a risk as people like yourself portray) and was actually successful. We as more experienced people can check over his work to make sure.

Hysteria doesn't help anything.

Also, if you couldn't see the OBVIOUS irony and resulting humor of the OP's screen name and the cartoon I posted, well I dunno...lmao
