The AGI dripping atomiser that I ordered arrived, and it came with a little sample of 1mm silica, and some kanthal, so I tripled up the silica and wrapped a 4 loop coil round it. It wasn't very neat, but it did actually work first time, metered at 2.4ohms. By the time I'd finished test firing and nudging the loops closer, it looked very neat and all four loops glowed evenly. I dripped some DIY RY-4 onto it and vaped it, and my wife said "Really? Is that thing supposed to make that much smoke!?!?" :)

My second attempt was 2.0ohms, much better with 3 loops, and nice and neat too. I dripped some DIY key lime cheesecake onto it, mixed 2 days ago, and holy cow I think I overdid the lime component. I hope it settles down in the next 4 weeks of steeping. This time I used ekowool and it didn't produce as big clouds, but there was so much flavour, like BANG!

Anyway I don't care about clouds, I've started dripping to test my DIY juices, and I've discovered that my RY-4 came out disgusting, and the cheesecake is very vapeable, but they are only 2 days old and I'll be interested in a retest in a fortnight, and then a month. But I'm properly stoked that my first two builds actually worked first time, and have got to give credit to all the information on ECF that made it possible :toast:

Thanks, it was a great moment, when I realised I can rebuild in 5 minutes flat costing next to nothing. I'm gonna test the AGI in genesis mode with the tank attached, and if I get on with it, I might even ditch the Protanks. No more buying new heads and going through the dry burning rigmarole woohoo!

You can rebuild Protank heads almost as fast as you do rdas. There are lots of good videos on Youtube. I started doing it when i was learning how to do RDA's. Thankfully I have saved every head I have used so I have a ziplock baggy full of them.
