7 wraps w/ 28g kanthal on a Delta II deck. Looks freaking horrible lol, I made sure when screwing the coil on the kanthal was just touching the post holes when screwing on the chimney and straightened it out. Was aiming for 1.2 ohm's and my D2 reads it at 1.25/.26.

Congratulations! And, it's not a beauty contest. Any stable, functional coil that gets the vape you want is a winner.

It gets better with practice - I have to use reading glasses and a good halogen desk lamp.

Neat close turns give a smoother vape with less spitting and crackling - but too close can cause shorted turns and burnout.
