A gas station in town began selling e-cigarettes a few months ago. I finally decided to buy a starter kit and I was so dissapointed and unimpressed. I would take long drags and i had no vapor. The things just would not work.

I figured I was doing something wrong so I jumped online and found this forum. I read for several days and got a pretty good idea of what kind of hardware is out there and what people thought of it. I never could get the gas station ones to work, but did order an ego that arrived today.

After everything was charged and put together I took my first drag. It works amazingly and now i feel like I can finally stop smoking and start vaping (then hopefully quit that too)

I was wondering. How long will a 30ml bottle of e-liquid last if you vape moderately?

5 days or less for me. I keep 3 30ml bottles of just the Red bull flavoring to mix with, flavor is the killer part. Once you find that flavor you just love, and start loading huge cartomizers with it, it goes so fast. Maybe if you drip or fill carts it would go a bit slower. I'm down to 25mg/ml from 36mg/ml, so I hit it even more. Can only imagine how hard i would toke if i cut it even weaker, lol

PG tends to put out more throat hit on it's own but it's also thinner than VG. VG puts out more plumes of vapor. Some vendors add pure grain alcohol to their mixes to give juice a little more throat hit. I'm sure the menthol vapors will steer you in the direction you need to go so you get throat hit & vapor to give you complete satisfaction.

It all depends on the strength you get and how much you enjoy it. Personally I figured that being a 1 to 1.5 pack a day smoker (marb lights) means I was getting about 16-24 mg of nicotine a day, so I should aim for that amount, over the course of a day I guess? Still new at this myself. I have been vaping like it's my job since I got my riva though, and been ordering lower nic juice, usually 6 or 8 mg. I figure that way, I can vape more per day without over-doing it on nicotine, at least that was my thinking. So far I have been pleased with it, and still trying different flavors. I guess it's just a learning process, I would rather low-ball the nic levels and vape like mad, than find the flavor I love and make myself sick with it.

I guess if you got the right strength juice and were ok with 1 ML per day, you could stretch a month out of it, but I don't think anyone really does that. I think the average a lot of people say are around 2-6 ml per day they vape?

I am having a little issue today. The filling in the cart somehow got into the bridge of the atty. I pulled it out and it was a little burnt. Now it doesnt seem to be working as well even with a fresh battery and a prefilled cart. Is it damaged or does it need a cleaning?

One more question. I see online that I can by attys for around 10-15 a piece, but I can also by cartomizers for a lot cheaper than that. I assume the cartomizers do not last as long? Will an atty last a lot longer?

I am sure all of these questions have been asked and answered, but there are a lot of posts to go through to get the specific questions.

Simple, run the filler under hot water, squeeze dry in a paper towel, fluff it up and it's ready to go.
Better filler is :http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modernvapor/61020-blue-foam-straw-mod-photos.html

Atty will last much longer than a carto, but the cost evens out between the two.
Depends on which taste and perform better for you, takes a little experimentation.
I've been thru 510, 810, 306, 901, 808, LR - standard resistance cartos and attys at
3.2v, 3.7v & 5v and every combination is just a little different.
Find a combination you like to vape, vape your head off.
When you want something a little different, try a different atty / carto or voltage,
see if you like it better. :vapor:
