Hi!

I just got my mini pcc kit on friday afternoon, and that is how long I havent had a cigarette and have been vaping instead!

I have a few questions for you guys!

First, as a smoker, I smoked anywhere from 4 cigs to a pack a day. avg was probably 12. EVERY morning I woke up with a harsh feeling in my throat and my lungs usually hurt when I went to sleep (unless I had less then 5 cigs).
Since yesterday was my first day ONLY vaping, I woke up this morning with my throat feeling yucky still.
Now, I have quit smoking before, I know it takes a while before I wake up feeling awesome, but Im worried I will continue to wake up feeling yucky if I am just vaping instead of smoking.

Experienced vapers: When you wake up in the morning after heavy vaping/normal vaping -how do your lungs and throat feel????

E-Cig:

So I bought the bloog maxxfusion, since read this forum, everyone seems to love it.

I purchased from happyvapor, which is in canada, and they do not carry 'juice' with nicotine, so I am using vanilla 'juice' with 0 nicotine (supplementing with THRIVE mints, which I love).

I was expecting this crazy throat hit to simulate smoking, but after I ordered, I learned that the throat hit comes from the nicotine 'juice'. I have managed to be just fiiine without the throat hit, so thats all good, my problem is:

I filled my first cart according to instructional vids and what ive read online, twisting as a dripped and not getting it into the center. after a few hours (maybe 3?) it tasted burny so I figure I vaped all the juice already or my cartomizer was dead. I refilled my cartomizer, and as a result, probably fried one of my batteries because of over filling. ....ty.

I read on this forum yesterday, that some juices taste burned pretty quickly.
Is THAT was I experienced? burned tasting juice??? Are the juices at happyvapor, specifically the vanilla, easily 'burnable'?!

And lastly:

HOW do you know when to refill a cartomizer???
and how do you know its done?!
I have 2 on the go, and considering i only got my kit fri. afternoon, I have already refilled and I cant image they are dead, and if they are empty then one cart HARDLY lasts '1 pack of cigs)

Complaint: I am getting used to it *sigh*, but I ordered my cartomizers in 'pink' and am REALLY disappointed. I wish they showed the colours online because this is hardly 'pink' its magenta. and if you do not the difference, magenta is more on the purple side of pink, its ugly.
I wish I had ordered purple. You cant screw up purple right?

LOL on the carto colors: the purple and pink are very similar, the purple is just a little darker than the pink but similar color LOL

go on youtube and put in the search box "refilling your carto" and "cartomizer" and stuff like that. U just have to find the right method for u and get used to it. That carto might have still been a little too dry and that's why it tasted burnt. I use the condom filling method and then let it sit a little bit before using. U have to see what u like tho, there are a few different methods...

ALSO the lower the nic level, the less throat hit. O nic often has no throat hit....
As a newbie I suggest reading as much as u can here on the forum, u will learn a lot!
Good luck!!

Hi xcited2start. I have only been vaping for a little over a week. I started with the green smoke kit but quickly realized I needed somthing better after reading this forum. I got my e-go T 3 days ago. It's a tank system so I can't help you on the cartos. I ended up going with the tank cuz I realized what a pain it was going to be trying to refill the cartos plus it seemed like it only tasted good on a brand new one then after that always tasted burnt. I seem to recall reading that once you get to the "burned" taste in the carto you vaped too long on it and you need to keep them from running out. Again seemed to difficult to try and figure out. I just wanted something I could fill and not worry about it. Plus I can see when it is low. I really like the tank. As far as a swore throat I haven't really had it too much. Sometimes I notice it's really dry when I am vaping so I just keep something to drink close by. You are supposed to drink a lot of water though because it dehyrates you. It only took me 2 days to notice the improvement especially at night. My lungs didn't wheeze and I didn't cough all night. So that was great. I still cough and clear my throat a lot but like you I have quit many times and know this takes awhile. Good luck and I'm sure you'll find answers to your other questions.

Here & There
One cartomizer does not last like one pack of cigarettes. It depends how much you vape but that cart takes 20-30 drops per refill and I refill two to three times a day. People's vaping habits might vary from smoking. For example, you might vape larger draws and more frequently because its more pleasant and easier than an analog. Always refill your cartomizer after you've taken it off your battery. Double check the bottom for any leaking before you put it back on the battery.

I use thin juices that wick well - PG w/ 20% or less VG. I also avoid all juices that drop flavoring sediment (clogs cartos)

Bloog cartos can use juice fast because they give nice full drags of vapor. You don't want to vape a carto down all the way or even 3/4 of the way or you will singe them. You don't want to use juices that are too thick or you will singe cartos because the juice may not move fast enough to rewet the coil area as you vape.

I add juice whenever the vapor is a bit light, a bit dry, tastes the tiniest bit off, or if the carto is getting abnormally warm. I also use a plastic or delrin drip tip in place of the end cap so i can pop that out and look at the stuffing - if the stuffing is white on top, i could take a bit of juice. I keep cartos damp and get 7+ days use out of each.

A filled carto does not last as long as a pack of cigs except for the rare person who smoked cigarettes lightly and put them out early, getting few drags out of each cigarette.

What is the PG/VG of your juice (and if the site didn't list the PG/VG, buy juice elsewhere)
