burn taste and burn smell

i try to make only coil attached to battery (not complete atomizer only tested coil with battery)

i test it with nicale crome 0.3mm about 5cm it give me about 1.8 ohm in about 7 rounds

it has very bad smell as burn paper and burn taste with ciramec rope or without any wick (only driping in nical crom)

i use pure gylcrine only ( i was smoke only that gylcrine when i have 401 e-cig but it was dead it was good for me) so it is not the problem

i use it with 4 NI-MH 1.2 2500 mah battery
and test with 3 battery with 3.6 v
and with 2 battery with 2.4 v

but still burn taste and burn smell

any help plz???????????????

i try kantal wire 0.4 mm about 2.0 ohm but still burn taste

after 20 or more press button the smell is lower but there is still burned taste

i thinking maybe the place of connection between coil and sold wire it realy burn so i change this connection with jack connection to avoid burn sold wire but still burned taste

what is wrong???

have you put any silica or cotton wick in the coil with a few drops of vg\pg. If you are just lighting the coil with no wick .... it gets to hot and will smell burnt.

test with cotton and ceramic and fiber
i did not find silca in my cauntry

all burn. in final i test without any wick but drop on nical wire some drops before use to test

I am not sure if this will help or not but try boiling your wick in water and a maybe a little vinager. that may help but then again...I do not know

hany3h, I just thought of something else that I remember reading in one of the other threads, it was about the nicale crome wire having a taste to someone. I remember he tried the kanthal wire and did not get the aweful taste he was talking about. I can not say that it will take care of yours or not, but maybe worth a try.
I have been off those cigs for alittle over a year and it is great to be free from those.... keep trying hany3h

Try putting a wick in the coil and completely wet the wick with your eliquid. If you're just putting a couple of drops of eliquid on the wick, it's probably not enough to keep it from burning. If the coils glow red, your wick is not wet enough.

Lack of airflow like an open air burn will also cause coil overheating. It should be better in an atty with a good wet wick.

but i try this befor with alot of gylicren it was Flooded all the table and still burn taste and smell

its not as cartomizer its only wire and battery

i only try system and if sucsses i will create cartomizer

Try using more nichrome wire (more coils) to increase resistance. This should make the coil 'cooler'.

i think i fegure the problem i think its now working

by burn the coil by lighter first. smell burn but taste good now

maybe the wire here in egypt has something else on it !!!!!! maybe

i don not know why sell but bo important besauce its not in my mouth i do not smell the vaper i inhial it

I always burn my wire with a lighter before I wrap it. it makes it more malleable. Glad you got rid of the taste.

Thank you DhafirAlfar you have give me this idea

but as you know i did not have cartomizer or automizer or any e-cig battery so
i make the puck but also mod puck by me (hehehehe i make mod before i have any e-cig)

its realy bad looks but i can use it untill i can get any e-cig on my cauntry (EGYPT) (expt bad 401)


i put the coil on rosita an put sirang above it to inhial from sirang

that is all i have in egy

also its has some taste in the end of inhial but its small bad taste not as first

you bet, I am worried the taste you are experiencing on this would be either melting plastic, or just the taste of drawing air from a plastic box. I would try and encapsulate the coil in some stainless steel tubing or something, in the pic the coil looks dangerously close to the plastic. there may be no good ecigs available IN egypt, but from what I can see you have the ingenuity to craft your own atomizer.
