Hi, I just started vaping almost a week ago and I have already tried 4 different E cigs (cheap ones mostly)
21st Century, Blue, Blazecig and my biggest investment V2 cigs. All of them gave me that burned raw feeling when I exhaled, except the Menthol cartridge for the V2. Is it the PG that's in them? I read that some people are allergic, I have never had an allergic reaction in my life, would be pretty weird if the PG was my first allergy ever lol. I also feel hydrated most of the time, no matter how much water I drink. V2 Customer Service has not been to helpful, they told me to open the cartridge and move the cotton/filling around some. I have tried 5 carts so far and all gave me that feeling, are they all defective, and need to be adjusted? I would appreciate any tips, experienced or advise.

And I am already in love with this forum, I am spending sooo much time here, I should make this my home page lol you all seem very helpful and patient with all your noobs, no smart and unnecessarily mean comments. You don't make us feel like complete idiots :) Thank you!

There is an adjustment period for vaping, but you should be beyond that by now with 4 PV's...

You don't mention the nicotine strength nor the flavors that are giving you this feeling. (There could be a key in there.)

Drinking more water than you have ever considered drinking in your entire life is really helpful when beginning to vape and become a habit for me.

Hey friend,

I found a thread with e-cig users explaining their own PG Allergy symptoms here :
Though I only skimmed through, it looks like PG allergy symptoms are not something that you are needing to worry about. But I digress.

I can agree with Hoosier saying Drink lots of water. Vaping will dehydrate you, and make your throat dry.

If you think it's from the e-liquid, you could order some blank cartomizers and try a sample bottles of juice in 100% vg and 100% pg. I believe the V2 is a Kr808 and cartomizers are available from many vendors.

Here's a good thread-
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...hen-quitting-tobacco-changing-ecigarette.html

Like other's have said, it could be the PG, VG, flavoring, nicotine level, symptoms of quitting smoking and starting to vape. Just hang in there and don't give up!

Wow thanks guys for the quick responds! I am vaping 12 Med and a few different flavors (Tobacco, Coffee, Peppermint...) Menthol was the best on my throat so far. I just tried inhaling less it does help, it also helps when I keep it in my throat for a few seconds and then exhale. I ordered some juices with mixed PG/VG they should be here soon, hopefully that will help. And yes I will definitely drink more water, kinda have no choice there lol I'm so thirsty all the time. I am thinking maybe switching to a different E-cig as well, I still have almost 30days return on the V2, I'm reading alot about the Ego, seems to be getting some love on this forum :) Thank you all for your help

Just wanted to say that you're not alone. I started with 100% VG less than a month ago, and although I didn't get much "throat hit," I felt wheezy and scratchy in my throat. I've also used 50PG/50VG and am now test-driving 70PG/30VG, which has alleviated the shortness of breath but also made me more dehydrated!

The 100% VG juices I used were dark, thick tobacco extracts that didn't wick well. So the mistake I made was trying to continue using a cartomizer after it started giving me a weird taste. I suspect the key is to set it aside for cleaning or trashing when that happens. Regardless of the ratio of juice you're using, I'd suggest starting your next tape session with a fresh cartomizer to make sure it's not some burned polyfill that's irritating you.

If you've used Blu ecig cartridges recently, then you've used a 100% VG juice. So if you're feeling irritation across all four mods, you probably just need to be moisturizing your cartomizers more frequently so that they don't burn. Just a thought. Good luck!

I had this for like a month and spent 100s of dollars trying to figure out what was causing it and it turned out to be that the nic was too high and was irritating my tounge throat and lungs. It was as if I had been sucking on and inhaling pepper. I nearly went back to smoking B$ I figured it out. Good luck.

I bought a sample pack with 24mg because I had been using 18mg and I thought the 24mg would give me the nic I needed over the very short smoke breaks at work. Well, I found that it absolutely killed my throat. My solution was to get a bottle of glycerin from the drug store (dirt cheap) and add 50% of that to my juices to bring the nic down to around 18. No problem after that and it makes so much vapor that I need to wear a foghorn so no one runs into me. Actually, I had a little problem with burning taste. I decided the VG made it too thick and it wasn't wicking properly. So I added a bit of vodka to it to thin it and now it's perfect.

It's been well over 9 months since I started this delightful hobby and I still get a burning sensation in my trachea at times. Seems to occur mostly in the morning so I make sure and keep my throat moist to combat this. It also happens while in school or at work when I haven't vaped for a couple of hours and hit off my volt manual. Again, liquids help here. I'm fairly certain that it's due to the caramel tobacco or blackjack flavorings in combination with a dry throat and stiffer pull from the manual. Hopefully this helps some...
