Hi, just wondered if anyone here can advise me.... I have bought some nichrome wire which is quite high resistance i think... alhough it is very thin wire... I also have 1mm silica wick, and have been trying to rewick and coil my ce5 and evod bcc's. I do not have a multimeter to measure the ohms at all....So i have done the recoiling etc and put back, refilled with liquid, but it just doesn't taste right... the higher i twist my battery up the worser the taste is! I don't think the wick is burning or underfed or squeezed too tight... but i don't know why I'm getting such a burning taste. Any help at all?

Are you torching ur silica properly before building? I found with silica if you pretreat it right it tastes better... Torch it till it glows, then soak and rinse it in either distilled water (under no circumstances use tap water) or ever clear, let it dry, then torch lightly again to remove moisture, then build ur coil. It's worth the process...
