depends.... is the wick insulator in?

if so, you may want to be careful as to not melt it.
the heat soak from the wick can and will get to that insulator.
if you like melted plastic, by all means go ahead.

I removed the insulator in favor of larger wick hole, and no burnt plastic taste.... to each their own.
