I have noticed that my cartos and Evod coils are burning out really fast over the past few weeks. I have them on a Vamo V5 mod and usually vape at 8 watts, which gives me 4.1 volts. I used to be able to get a week plus out of my cartos before they would need to be changed. Is it possible that the Vamo is killing them out faster now. I know it's a cheap mod. I also recently stepped my nic level down to 12mg. I'm not hitting it any more that I usually do. If anyone have some suggestions, I'm all ears. Thanks!

Google says RMS = Root Mean Square voltage

In terms please that dummies like me can understand :D

RMS is a way of standardizing the measurement of a voltage that isn't constant. A straight battery voltage will be a constant 3.7 volts or whatever volts are left on the charge.

When the electronics are involved to boost and control the voltage, the actual voltage varies like a wave, going up and down many times per second. The effective voltage that your coil sees is a sort of average of the high and low of the wave.

RMS is simply a standardization of how that average voltage is defined, as just measuring the highest voltage or the lowest voltage of the wave would be wildly inaccurate.

Using RMS is no better or worse in measuring the voltage you're vaping, if you don't get hung up on numbers, ohms and watts. Simpy use whatever voltage number tastes best, and remember that number for next time.

Well. Thank you. Someone had posed the question as to whether or not the Itaste vv/vw v.3 was RMS and/or AMS. I was confused... still am...but thanks for the effort to explain it to me!

They should label them all... Cold - Cool - Average - Warm - Hot - Burn yer Juice.....Or just numbered 1 to 10.

The method used to arrive at the displayed number is only really interesting to techie nerds, (yeah, I love the stuff...)
