I'm not sure why every time I vape on my .39 ohm built on a Mutation x V4, it always burns after a couple of vapes. I'm using an eVic VT on 40-50 watts and Japanese organic cotton. Should I lower my wattage or is this just a bad coil build?
Airflow. Coil quality. Wicking. Those were my early problems around that area. Heh. Ironic. I shot a jet of flame out my new Velocity, as I was drawing. I felt the heat coming and pulled away. It. Did. Not. Burn. The. Cotton. I don't know how. I resaturated it and kept going. Still have it in.
I'd agree with everyone else on making sure your wicking is 100%, but also check to make sure your coils are heating evenly. A while back I wound a pair of clapton coils and one of them was somehow a tenth of an ohm lower resistance and I'd get singed cotton after two hits because one wick dried out way faster.
