Burning taste on the Lavatube

I have a Apollo Vtube, model 1.0 lavatube, and I get a burnt taste when hitting 5.0 and higher voltages. I have a 510 atomizer with a drip tip and a 510 single coil 3.0 ohms cartomizer. What am I doing wrong? Did I need a duel coil to hit 5.0+ voltages?

I guess...why? I never found it a contest to go higher. Is there a reson you want to go 5+? It could be your juice.

I pumped to 6 when I dripped pure VG for S&G, but I normally float from 4.2 to 4.6 depending on the juice and even tank or carto.

The reason for having VV is so that you can turn it DOWN to where you don't get a burnt taste.
The atty that is on my Vtube right now works best at 3.9v. I have others that work best at 4.6v, and even one that works best at 3.4v.

I just want to try 5.5ish out. Im using ecblends juice. I prefer 4.2 atm I just want to have the ability to use my devices wide range of voltage. lol Tj I didnt think of it that way. Thanks guys.

Must have run the carto dry and burnt the filler, time for a new one. What ohm is the atomizer? Dual coils don't work very good on the LT.

Higher voltage does not necessarily equal better vape. Take a look at this chart:

i go 5v max on my LT for a 3ohm carto. dont have to go any higher. as mentioned with the chart for ranges of volts - ohms. unless at 5v youre not getting a good and satisfying VTF, maybe its the juice?
