Ok, so im playing some video games and just vaping away when I notice my tank is about 1/2 empty. So I top off my tank, and continue vaping. shortly after I begin noticing a really disgusting burning taste, so I drop the voltage, still tastes awful all the way down to 3.3V. So, I clean the tank and the coil all squeaky clean, fresh juice...still disgusting! So now I decide to Set my Aspire BDC CE5-S aside and pull out my Kangertech T3S with a brand new coil...same thing...disgusting!! So at this point I'm thinking it's my Spinner battery, and since My Spinner II is charging at the moment I pull out my little eGo knockoff throw the T3S on it...beautiful, tasts great. Put the T3S back on the Spinner, disgusting, swapped it back to the eGo, tastes great......!?

I'm going to test the voltage tomorrow when I get to work, but what the heck can cause that to happen? this is the weirdest thing to happen to me the entire time I have been vaping...

EDIT: Ok, so the voltage is normal, but what I didn't notice last night was a bunch of burnt gunk in the connector, so with the better lighting at work I was able to get in there and clean it out really well, and the taste seems to have gone away.

Unfortunately I have tried and tried with my Aspire and I think the coil is gone, it produces very little vapor now, and tastes terrible.

I have 3 spinners and I believe 2 of them are stuck on the highest voltage setting. One of them doesn't even charge anymore and I think sometimes will turn itself on and off. Sometimes the other one works fine then tastes like crap. Bought a new one a couple of weeks ago and it seems to be working fine for now. Someone on another thread told me that the voltage adjustment dial is connected to something called a potentionometer inside the battery and if it gets bumped around or a fall can become separated and will be stuck on whatever voltage setting it was on. I doubt there's any way to fix it and I personally am not tearing into a battery. This could have been a QC issue since my go-to B&M owner told me they had about a 20% failure with the last batch they ordered. Therefore they won't be selling them anymore. Which really sucks because there's another shop close by which is where I had to buy my 3rd one. I contribute the failure of mine to the fact that I am very rough on them, drop them, work outside in extreme heat humidity and dust and each one of them have been turned over in the kayak at least once. It's almost like a ritual for each new one I get. I will however stick with them because I believe they are constructed better than any other ego-type out there. With a good charge and the right topper the vape rivals most regulated mods I have tried.
Plus I'd much rather dump a 30 dollar battery with me in the kayak than the 200 dollar mod that I want exclusively for home use and out on the town. Didn't want to turn this into a rant. Just my $.02

Honestly Lee, I would go for it. I did have some issues with my first Spinner II, but now that I have my new one, I wouldn't trade it for any other battery. I vape heavy from 7:00AM to about 10:00PM every day with my 2.0ohm Aerotank @ 4.3V and, like I said in another post, I honestly don't even know what the orange LED looks like because I have yet to drain the battery below 30%. It's 2:40PM right now, and the LED is still white. So yah, no company is perfect, and things do get past QC from time to time, especially when were dealing with China. However the Spinner II is an excellent battery and I cant recommend it enough.
