I have just upgraded to a Protank from about 8 months of using an evod. I got fed up not being able with my bad eye sight to see in side the little slot window and finding the cartomiser and battery connections awkward. I was also constantly getting the burnt wick taste and had hoped that this too would be solved. Unfortunately, I used my new Protank about 4 or five times getting a great vape, like absolutely amazing, and then out of the blue the burnt wick taste was back with a vengeance, it was full of juice and I did nothing that I can think of to cause it. I've changed the brand new wick, that came with it, and put one in that I put together myself but it is still the same. What am I doing wrong????

So you think there is not enough juice getting in, ok yeah I'll try that, thanks

My first guess and similar to my experience with pt2s. Like stringplucker stated, I use 100% VG or whatever is the closet % to that using VG flavorings. I have tried diluting with water and such.. I don't care for that. So I flipped the cup and only tighten until it doesn't leak. You just have to figure that out. Hand tighten can mean many things depending on strength of person. I did have a tank dump on me yesterday.. not sure why at the moment but it was the first time in 1.5 years.

You can also lift the post up a bit to create a wider gap.

Of course it could be that you are a quick heavy draw.. similar to me. Instead of trying to slow down I decided to make the device work for me.

Voltage does play a part as well like the other 2 stated.

Thanks guys...
I think I do draw to heavy and probably too often, I have tried flipping the silicone cup and it started gurgling but have found that I had it done up too tight, much better just through doing that, also yeah, I have been drawing in a little before engaging the battery and its pretty good now, unless I forget and then its like fire! I am using a juice mix with 70% pg 30% vg seems good to me? When I had my evod I was buying ready made coils so did not need ohm meter, as I say I only bought this yesterday so its all as it came, except when I tried a re-wicked with cotton old coil today. I was expecting some spec to come with it but but there isnt any so must discover the wattage from the supplier, been busy today. I am waiting for an ohm meter in post and shan't be altering anything till it comes. Its a mechanical mod I have, non-variable.

cheers

Oh; well that's a major slowdown; get yourself a regulated mod where you can adjust things plus see troubleshooting information such as ohms and volts;

after a while with experience you can get by just fine with the mech but for starting out, a regulated mod with a screen is decisively usefull.

The mvp2 is highly recommeneded;
Since you already have a mech, if you are using 18650 batteries already, then consider the e-lvt compared to the mvp2.
