burnt smell and scratchy throat

hi all! i just received my variable V ego T. i'm currently vaping on 80/20 pg/vg melon 11mg at 3-3.2V. however, every vapes has this burnt smell and cause scratchy throat. pls tell me if i missed out doing something? or im doing it wrongly?

Are you using atty or carto? I know there's a film on new attys and if you don't blow them out you will get that.

Im using atty. blow them out? hmm. its a new atty btw.

That's when you need to blow them out. They put an oily substance in them to keep them from drying out till you use them, and that will give you a funny taste till it burns off, and blowing through them first will get most of it out.

sorry im a noob here and thanks alot for you replies. so do i blow from the battery side or the tank side?

Don't worry about it, we all had to start somewhere, and I should have explained better. Blow it from the threaded side, battery, and hold a paper towel in front of it to catch the stuff

I'm really glad I could help, this one should be a lot better, and eventually the first one should be ok. I didn't know that either with my first one, and there are a lot of similar threads, so it happens to a lot of people. That factory liquid inside the new attys is usually plain PG or VG - after blowing the stuff out, put a tank with your liquid on, let it sit for five minutes and don't inhale the first couple of puffs. The funny smell will go away - but not on its own =)

You can also blow distilled water through them to clean it out if your able to wait 24 hours for it to dry. Then you wont even get the bad taste at all
