Hey guys,

Having a problem with my Kanger T3S's. I'm using them with my MVP2 at around 7-8 watts. However, sometimes it'll work and vape OK but after about 2-3 hits it will give me a horrible burnt taste. Unsure what could be causing this.. I have replaced the heads in them to see if that was the issue, using 2.2 ohm coils (I think, the MVP is reporting 2.4 - 2.6 for some reason). I had it vaping at 10 watts the other day with no problems at all..

When the burnt taste occurs it sounds like the airflow is reduced. It makes quite a lot of noise when taking hits compared to the likes of my iClear 16's but it sort of stops when the burnt taste occurs.

Could it be an airflow issue? No air through the tank so it's burning the coil / wicks?

Anyone seen this issue or anyone that can suggest a fix?

Cheers,

James

There are a few things you can do and check with some help on this forum and on youtube.

1. Try doing a dry puff (sucking without pushing the on button.)
If that stops your dry hits, than remove 1 or 2 strings of flavor wicks. When you put the coil back together, make sure that there is not empty space where the wick and rubber grommet is.

2. Re-wick with cotton.

3. make sure that the coil is not gunked up. If so, clean, rinse, dryburn, repeat.... rinse and dry.

Also thicker juices, such as hi VG juices will give you dry hits as they may not wick so well.

T3s is same as protank EVOD's etc.... Search the forum and youtube with these keywords and you will find your answer.

Cheers ....

It could be many things as has been addressed but one thing I can add and the simplest to check. In my experience, the first thing to think about is vaping angle. I've never seen a bottom coil topper that continued to work right when vaped vertically or close to it. I haven't tried to figure out the reasons (possibly to do with wicking) but horizontal works best... keeps them from flooding/dry hits and from vapors going back into the air tube from the mouth and, consequently, getting "juice" in the mouth.
